Jackie Appiah

Ghana’s most decorated actress, Jackie Appiah has disclosed why she does not involve herself in “unnecessary” controversies.

The actress hardly comes out to explain her side of the story when bad news circulates about her.

When pictures of the house of the great actress flew across social media platforms which got attention, it was later revealed that the actress did not do that, instead, it was her friend who shot it and posted it on social media.

Rumors of Jackie Appiah being pregnant, arrogant, involved in prostitution as was said by Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, and engaging in other dubious ways to make money were all swept under the canopy by the actress- she never came out to comment on it or talk about her side of the story.

Jackie Appiah is extremely rich and one of the most paid actresses in the country, however, one could hardly see the actress brag about being wealthy.

Jackie Appiah stated that she is always busy with work so she does not see the need to be involved in things that at the end of the day would not put food on her table.

According to her, even though she is not a perfect human being, she is trying her best not to make any mistakes in her work because, at the end of the day, her work must be perfect.

Jackie claims the only thing that tickles her is her job and anything apart from her work is not given much attention to.

“I am always in my corner, I mind my job, I mind my business, and I don’t want to make mistakes; everything must be perfect,” she stated.

Meanwhile, Jackie has said that staying low-key and out of controversies has been tough and not easy for her but being a very cool person she tries her best to make things look normal.

Jackie Appiah has explained why the media hasn’t seen any picture of any of her siblings.

The delectable actress revealed that they are five in number and she is the last born.

“I am the last baby. I have three sisters and a brother. They are all not on social media because they are busy making money. But we do talk all the time and sometimes meet up,” Jackie stated.

Jackie also revealed how she is very close with the rest of her family members.

She narrated how she almost became a lawyer but decided to become an actress instead.

“I had wanted to become a lawyer growing up. My dad is a lawyer, and all my siblings are lawyers so it seemed like I was going to follow in that path. But I opted for acting and I am passionate about it,” Jackie bemoaned.

“I am very passionate about acting. I don’t like to produce because it’s too stressful and I don’t like anything that will stress me. I prefer to come and do my work, get paid, and leave,” Jackie reiterated.

The actress said she didn’t know she would become an actress even though she loved acting. She also disclosed that her role in the drama series Things We Do For Love was the first in her career spanning over two decades.

When asked about why she donates every year on her birthday, Jackie explained that God has blessed her with a lot of wealth and she felt it was appropriate to share it with the less privileged.
