Ghanaian singer, Mzbel, has reacted to rumors that Nana Ama McBrown and her husband, Maxwell Mensah, are currently divorced.

Mzbel who is Mawell’s former close friend, was queried about her thoughts on the development and she highlighted some interesting points.

“He isn’t my best friend. He was my friend but we are no longer close. Anything is possible, divorce is real. So, whether I believe it or not, it doesn’t change anything. Moreover, it’s not my business so I don’t need to talk about it,” she said.

“Why would you ask me such a question? Would he come for me or love me? I won’t benefit anything from it,” she further stated.

However, Mzbel believes flaunting private information on social media can lead to jeopardy, and has advised her colleagues to desist from that.

Using her life as an example, Mzbel revealed that people should take a cue from how she never flaunts very important information about herself on social media.

“All I can say is, whatever you hold dear, don’t expose it on social media. That’s why people don’t know the father of my children. It’s only those who already know him, that know how he looks like,” she stated.

“I won’t explain to anyone who the father of my children is. In that way, when we break up, nobody is aware. When you spot him in public with another woman, you won’t take a picture of it and post it in public. People still do this and so if something goes wrong, they become a topic for discussion. People do this to you and forget you have feelings that you’re human,” she revealed.

Mzbel had on several occasions, dispelled claims that she once dated Maxwell Mensah, McBrown’s husband.

The songstress has constantly clarified that they were just friends and that she did not accept his marriage proposal.

The rumors of their love affair heightened when she discovered that Maxwell and McBrown’s daughter, Maxin, have a striking resemblance with the former’s mother.

Belinda Ekua Amoah, also known as Mzbel, disclosed how she was rejected and undermined in the music industry due to her style of dressing.

Making her revelation, she stated that people were intimidated by her style of dressing, which she described as ‘bold’.

The ‘16 years’ hitmaker, known for her choice of skimpy clothing, disclosed that she wasn’t bothered by the criticism leveled against her as she was just having fun.

“Back in the day, people didn’t understand that a young woman would be bold and free. They didn’t understand why I would be dressing in a certain way. They wanted to be in control of everything. Meanwhile, I was just having fun doing my own thing,” she revealed.

“Whenever I was booked for a show, the venue was always packed. It was show business and we liked to show stuff. But they were not used to that; they felt that it was contrary to culture and tradition. But I never gave up,” she said.

Mzbel stated that her actions paved the way for younger female artists to be more assertive with their choice of outfits.

“That is why the young girls who are coming up are even doing worse things, which I would have never tried. Look at Ayra Starr right now and see how she dresses. That was me, then. And now people are understanding. If they were sincere, they would acknowledge that I am a pacesetter; I was the one who encouraged the young girls to be bold and free,” she said.

Mzbel further asserted that she wouldn’t change her style of fashion and would continue to be bold in how she expresses herself.
