Daniel Regha Knocks Davido Over His Donation To Orphanages

Daniel Regha and Davido

Media personality and Twitter influencer, Daniel Regha has knocked music star, Davido over his 300 million Naira donation to Orphanages.

Hours ago, the singer announced his yearly donation to the Orphanages. He revealed that through his foundation he would be donating 300 million Naira to orphanage homes. He stated that the donation is his yearly contribution to the nation.

He also expressed that he was going to share the disbursement details in the subsequent days.

Reacting to it, Daniel stated that though helping out the less privileged is good, it shouldn’t be his yearly contribution to the nation. He stated that Davido needs to engage in political discussions as a Nigerian and should do so without being biased.

He further added that celebrities should be able to speak up for the masses by calling out the leaders and should be using their influence for good use.

In another tweet, he noted how the last donation he made wasn’t well accounted for as he reminded the singer of his 20 million Naira pledge, which he was yet to fulfill.

He mentioned how Davido had been owing people money and seizing their property but was donating money to Orphanages. He further added that such an act is the reason why Politicians can get away with anything in the country.

“The last N250m Davido supposedly donated to the orphanage was not well accounted for; He’s also yet to fulfill the N20m pledge he made in the form of a giveaway. Same Davido has been accused of owing/seizing people’s money (like that of Amaju Pinnick), but he wants to donate “300 million naira” to orphanages around Nigeria. And y’all wonder why Nigerian politicians can get away with almost anything in this country,” he wrote.

This isn’t the first time Davido is making a huge donation to Charity.

Last two years, Davido gave to charity the 100 million Naira he received from his friends and fans all over the world to celebrate his birthday.

The singer disbursed the money to orphanages and less privileged homes, and in 2023, he showed his fans and followers how the money contributed to him for his birthday had been disbursed to orphanage homes.

Daniel Regha had questioned him about the contribution.

Reactions As Davido Reveals Plan To Help Orphanages

In a recent development, Nkechi Blessing reacted to Davido’s recent plan to gift orphanage homes.

Taking to his Instagram comment section, she revealed that she was also an orphan. In her words, “I be orphan ooo,” she wrote, as she humorously clamored to be included in the gifting.

However, she’s not the only celebrity who reacted to Davido’s generosity. Zlatan Ibilie also reacted by putting some hand-clap emojis. Reality TV star Tolani Baj also reacted by stating simply, “a king.”

Some fans too reacted to his post asking for the Lord’s blessing upon his life.

“May God continue to replenish your pockets. You’ve done far better than the Government.”

A few days ago, Davido rejoiced after being gifted a Rolex watch by footballer Memphis. He excitedly revealed that he never gets gifts and he is always the one gifting people things.

However, netizens knocked him over his statement as they expressed that he was being ungrateful.

They reminded him of the 100 million naira that had been collectively gifted to him a few years ago to celebrate his birthday.
