Actor Shares An Encounter In Hollywood

Prince David Osei

Ghanaian actor, Prince David Osei has revealed that members of the LGBTQIA+ community are mostly found on the streets of Hollywood.

According to him, they make advances at their targets and promise to help in their advancement.

He intimated that it was a great turnoff for him and it is why he is not yet working in Hollywood.

“Some of the people I met that were in the business, some of them were on the other side. And I’m a very straight person. From conversations, you notice they are on a different path from mine, and so I told them to take their Hollywood. I’m not interested,” he said.

“It discouraged me because that was what I saw from the very beginning. Those were the people all over. Anytime we went for the premiere and Q&As after the movies,” the Ghanaian movie star further added, “

He recalled a time in downtown Los Angeles.

He revealed that he was at a drink up, and he met some of the producers, and while there, a nice young man, Mexican Latino – very cute guy – came around.

After they were introduced, Prince asserted that the unnamed Mexican said he liked his physique.

“At a point, he put his hand on my shoulder but I didn’t read much into it. But later, when the place got crowded, I felt someone press my bottom. Reflexively, I spun around and punched him. When that happened, they all asked: ‘What’s going on?’ and I said: ‘He just touched my bum’. They started laughing,” he narrated, noting their reaction upset him greatly.

“I told them: ‘No, you don’t touch me inappropriately’. After a while, the guy who touched me pulled me aside and told me: ‘Well, if you really want to excel here, you need people like me. You need people like us. We run the show here and I got that into my head,” he stressed.

Prince indicated that he returned to his hotel and told himself that he could not pay the price because it was not worth it.

Prince David Osei Outlines Vice President Bawumia’s Legacy

Prince David Osei disclosed that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is one of the most prolific Vice Presidents Ghanaians ever have.

He challenged anyone who thinks otherwise to consider vice presidents from recent Ghanaian political history, Kow Nkensen Arkaah, Prof John Evans Atta-Mills, and John Dramini Mahama, and asked which of them made any impact and did any initiative, as a Vice President.

He cited the National Identification Authority’s (NIA) Ghana Card as an innovation that helped stem crime. He called it “a landmark” achievement by Dr. Bawumia, despite the tireless work of naysayers.

“Right now, we’re able to curb crime. All your information is available on the [Ghana] card… so they can track you down. It’s helping fight crime,” Prince David explained.

The movie star again pointed to the convenience of sitting home and buying electric power, keeping one off the road and out of queues.

“It’s making life easy. I can sit here and send you money in seconds, whether Vodafone, AT, or whatever. I can send money to my bank account. These are modalities and things that make life comfortable,” he noted, bringing up the ease of getting a passport.

In the health sector, he underlined drone technology, taking medicine all over the place.

The movie producer and director, therefore, asserted if Dr. Bawumia could do the above, with limited power, as the second-in-command, there was no telling what more he could accomplish as the main boss, driving the car, as it were, the Republic of Ghana.

He noted that the main opposition National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama served the nation enough, wondering what exactly he wanted to finish.

He outlined that Mr. Mahama adequately served as an Assemblyman, Member of Parliament, Minister of Communications, Vice President, and then President, “Why don’t you pick someone else?” he quizzed.

As Ghana decides on a President on Saturday, December 7, the NPP hopes to make history as the first political power to break the eight-year or two-term cycle.
