Sarkodie Announces Partnership To Offer Fans Shares In His Music

Sarkodie

Ghanaian rap icon, Sarkodie has announced a new initiative to allow fans to invest in and earn from his music.

In a series of posts on Twitter, Sarkodie stated he had partnered with ‘Opulous App’ in a deal that will allow his fans to own shares in his music.

“I’ve been wanting to do this for the longest because I’m blessed to have the best fanbase in the world, ‘SarkNation’. Thanks to @Opulous App for giving me the platform to give my fans the opportunity to own shares in my music.

“Myself and @Opulousapp coming together to give away a good percentage of my new mixtape #TheChampionshipMixtape to ‘lucky’ fans! You guys deserve this and more for the support you’ve shown me over the years.”

His fans went to the comment section to share their opinions.

“I now understand why Sarkodie rejected all these international record labels that have been rushing him since day one. It’s because he wants to own everything so that he can make his fans share owners of his project one day. Congrats to us DarkNation.”

Nana Poku Ashis Commends Rapper

Ghanaian artist manager, Nana Poku Ashis commended rapper Sarkodie for his initiative to sell his shares of his upcoming mixtape.

According to him, Sarkodie is one of the smartest musicians in Ghana.

“Owning shares in one’s company makes a part owner of that company. What he is doing currently or right now is expanding his territories. Most of the time, musicians concentrate on their fanbase internally, but I think he is trying to expand.

“There are other people who are not much into the fun part of it but are very business-inclined. So, I’m sure this would also draw people to read more about him, research about him, and then see how best they could be a part of the business holdings that he’s trying to share at this moment.”

Nana Ashis

Ashis further lauded Sarkodie for taking advantage of the ruckus in the Ghanaian rap music scene to launch the project, as all eyes were on him.

He also expressed his wish for other artists in the country to embark on similar ventures in the future.

“It’s refreshing to see people being innovative in their ways of creativity. These are some of the kinds of things we want to hear, not fighting and arguments we see every day. I think Sarkodie is one of the smartest musicians we have in this country. And if you study the brand, Sarkodie, he knows exactly when to drop a pin for it to be loud.

“And the way he constantly keeps the ‘SarkNation’ along with him in whatever he does is a breath of fresh air. He should keep it up. We want to see more artists venture into different endeavors.”
