NAPO Rallies Majority Caucus to Unite for NPP’s Vision

Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, NPP Vice Presidential Candidate in an engagement with Majority Caucus in Parliaament

In a significant move to galvanize support within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as the 2024 General Elections approached, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the party’s Vice Presidential Candidate has engaged the Majority Caucus in Parliament.

In a statement, the Manhyia South Member of Parliament indicated that the meeting included the participation of the ruling party’s National Chairman Stephen Ntim, and other senior party leaders, underscoring the importance of unity and collaboration in the party’s strategy to secure electoral victory.

He noted that the meeting served as a platform for discussing the party’s campaign strategies and the role of parliamentary members in driving the agenda forward.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, in his address, emphasized the crucial need for the caucus to close ranks and present a united front.

He highlighted that such solidarity is imperative for the effective promotion and realization of the party’s vision for a better Ghana, as articulated by the Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

“It was truly fruitful to connect with my esteemed colleagues to rally support for our vision of building a better Ghana,” Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh stated.

Calls for Unity for Victory 2024

Furthermore, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party Vice Presidntial Candidate for the upcoming general elections urged all Members of Parliament of the New Patriotic Party to come together in a shared commitment towards securing victory for the ruling party.

“Together, we can pave the way for the innovative solutions and bold strategies of our Presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia, to uplift Ghana to new heights”, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh added.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh, the former Minister of Education further stressed the significance of leveraging the collective strengths of the party to navigate the electoral landscape successfully.

Moreover, Dr Matthew Opoku Premepeh noted that the New Patriotic Party National Chairman Stephen Ntim echoed his sentiments, reiterating the need for unity and effective communication among party members.

He pointed out that the NPP’s track record in governance provides a solid foundation for the upcoming campaign, but emphasized that cohesive efforts and robust grassroots engagement are essential to maintaining momentum.

In addition, Dr Matthew Opoku Premeph indicated that the discussions also touched on key policy initiatives and the party’s commitment to addressing pressing national issues.

He underscored the governing party’s commitment to presenting a clear and compelling narrative to the electorate, one that highlights the party’s achievements and outlines a forward-looking agenda for national development.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh also recounted that his call to action resonated with the MPs, many of whom expressed their readiness to mobilize support within their constituencies.

He emphasized that the engagement concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and determination among the caucus members, signaling a strong start to the NPP’s campaign activities.

Meanwhile, the Director of communications of the ruling party, Richard Ahiagbah, in an earlier statement pointed out that the selection of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) as a running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a prudent and strategic decision by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He emphasized that the choice of the Manhyia South legislator as the party’s running mate to the Vice President and the New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is a testament to the party’s commitment to excellence, harmony, and progress.

According to  Mr Ahiagbah, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s impressive track record in governance, particularly in the education and energy sectors, makes him an invaluable asset to the ticket.
