CEO of the popular Chez Amis restaurant, Belinda, also known as Big Cheezy, has disclosed that she shut down her first business due to harassment from her customers.

She narrated her journey from working in the spa industry to becoming a successful restaurateur.

According to her, after finishing school, she trained at a popular spa, learning skills such as massaging and facials.

“I went to Allure Spa in the City to learn massaging, facials, and all that. But I didn’t like it; I felt like it wasn’t my calling,” she narrated.

Following her breakup with an abusive boyfriend, she opened her spa near Dansoman market.

“I had opened a spa around Dansoman market. But the business wasn’t going well. I wasn’t really getting customers,” she said.

She added that she only got massage requests from men who demanded ‘happy endings’.

“The only customers I was getting were men who wanted massages. But when they came, they were requesting ‘happy endings’ after the sessions. And anytime I heard that, I felt disrespected.”

Feeling disheartened by these experiences, she decided to close the spa.

Determined to find her true passion, Belinda eventually ventured into the restaurant industry, where she found her niche by establishing Chez Amis.

The owner of the prestigious Chez Amis restaurant in Accra, also revealed that she purchased 3 houses from profits from her business.

She disclosed that all three houses were bought in 2023 solely from savings from the proceeds from her restaurant.

“I’ve bought houses. Two 4-bedroom houses at Adjiringanor and 5-bedroom house at Airport Hills,” she shared.

Asked how she was able to afford such purchases, she said it was savings from the profits of her business.

Questioned how much a plate of food costs to enable her to afford such properties, she said, “As at the time I bought the houses, a plate was GH¢170.”

Ghanaians react to Chez Amis’ interview on Instagram.

“Another hardworking woman, a woman of valor 😁.”

The popular Snapchat personality addressed rumors about her ‘voluptuous’ backside, denying that it is the result of plastic surgery.

According to Belinda, she naturally has large buttocks and has not undergone any procedures specifically for that.

However, she did reveal that she has had several cosmetic surgeries.

“People who know me well are aware that I’ve always had a bug butt. It’s just how I am, but I did undergo liposuction 360 to remove some fat from my back and stomach, and I also had a breast reduction because I had so much breast tissue that was causing me back pain.”

Belinda

She further noted, “Now, my breasts are small enough that I don’t need to wear a bra, which is exactly how I wanted it for my comfort. I specifically requested it to be done this way.”

Belinda added that all her surgeries were performed in Ghana by a highly recommended doctor based in Kumasi.

“It’s been three years since the procedures. My doctor here in Ghana did an excellent job,” she said.

Responding to the comments on her current prominence, she stated, “I believe it’s my time and season right now. It will eventually pass, and someone else will take my place.”
