Christ Embassy Pastor Debunks Clout Chasing Claims

Pastor Enoch Boamah and Drogba

The head pastor of the Christ Embassy Airport City Youth Church, Enock Boamah, has addressed the backlash and criticisms that followed the healing of YOLO actor John Peasah, known as ‘Drogba during last Friday’s night service.

A viral video on social media showed Drogba sharing testimony of his healing during the miracle service.

In the video, Drogba testified to receiving divine healing at the church’s crusade in Accra. He confirmed that he was able to do things he had been unable to do for the past four years.

This testimony sparked varied reactions online, with some netizens celebrating his healing while others criticized it.

Pastor Enoch Boamah addressed the criticisms during a Sunday service on September 1. He emphasized that Drogba had acknowledged feeling better on his own and made it clear that the church had not forced him to do so.

“The person said he feels better. We didn’t ask him; he said he feels better. Na me put that word for ein mouth? But his testimony is bigger than this; we will share it later. That testimony is one out of the hundreds of testimonies that happened to him that night.

“The testimony is bigger than this; I’ve told him to calm down. Devil can heal like this? And we no dey follow am? It doesn’t make any sense.”

Pastor Boamah also responded to accusations that he was using the situation for clout, saying, “Holy Spirit bears me witness that when we closed from the miracle service that Friday night, I told the media team not to post that testimony. I told them not to post it because I am not looking for clout.”

Pastor Boamah acknowledged God’s work in healing Drogba and stated that he’s not perturbed by the criticisms as it’s a testimony of God’s elevation of his life.

“If you follow my teaching on the sight of God, you’d know that God doesn’t count the way men count. If persecuted in a large way, its proof that God has actually elevated you. Jesus said the world hates you because they hate me.

“Comparing this to the persecution in the Bible, this is nothing. People were eaten alive by lions. What is this?”

Drogba Shares Divine Healing at a Miracle Night Service

Ghanaian actor, John Peasah, popularly known as ‘Drogba’ from the famous YOLO series shared a miraculous healing encounter at the Christ Embassy’s Airport City crusade in Accra.

The actor has for the past five months grappling with severe health challenges and multiple disorders after he was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome.

Drogba confirmed to a large congregation on Friday night at the ‘Miracle Night’ crusade about his divine healing.

Prior to the healing, he openly disclosed his condition and sought financial assistance for a treatment abroad which was scheduled to happen later this year.

At the ‘Miracle Night’ crusade held on Friday, August 30 at the AICC, Drogba in the company of his sister recounted how he has been struggling to walk in public and unable to sit for longer hours.

However, after he experienced the divine miracles at the crusade grounds, Drogba said he had experienced a significant change.

“Anytime, I’m alone I can walk fine but when I’m in public I find it very hard to move so I feel like today it is better because I’m not someone who moves. Every time I disguise myself. The funny thing is nobody has stiff person syndrome in Ghana; I’ve been trying to reach out to people but to no avail.”

His sister added that for the past four years, he hasn’t been able to go out.

“Anytime he tries to go out, he has to wear a face mask because the moment he sees a crowd, he won’t be able to walk. His head will start shaking, and he won’t be able to walk.”

Drogba’s sister

“You would have to hold him. But today is the first time in four years that he has been able to walk in a crowd,” Drogba’s sister said.

Recently, the actor disclosed that he is battling multiple conditions simultaneously, which has sparked public concern.

He disclosed battling sleep apnea syndrome, multiple debilitating disorders, and a Stiff Person Syndrome Disorder, a rare neurological condition that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms.
