Ghanaian actress, video vixen, and socialite, Rosemond Alade Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has revealed that she will not stop being loud on social media.

Akuapem Poloo, who started off as a video vixen, made some appearances on the silver screen but rose to fame primarily through her unending style of whining, ranting, and name-calling of known celebrities via social media. She also became known for her provocative and shabby outfits at events.

Her style of presentation and appearance became a topic of discussion, with many industry players, according to her, refusing to associate with or grant her an audience when encountered in public.

After her jail time, most social commentators were of the view that the punishment would cause a change in Poloo’s behavior. Contrary to these suggestions, the actress says she is firmly holding on to her style, labeling it as her source of livelihood.

“This is me; this is what I survive on, this is what I feed on. My loudness feeds me. That same loudness made you interview me the first time you saw me at the VGMA because I was that bubbly and loud person, and I got your attention.

“The same loudness got Cardi B’s attention on me, so I will never change. But there are some petty things I won’t do again.”

Akuapem Poloo admitted that her previous deeds on social media may have contributed to the challenges she endured after the nude picture with her son went viral.

“Whatever I do, if it is not good, I know it is not good. I knew talking about people, saying things about people, was not good, but I did it, and that has brought me this far. I am not saying it is the best, I am not saying it is good, but I did it, and it worked for me.

“Everything you do, you pay for it, whether good or bad. And whatever I was doing, I knew I would pay for it, and I have paid for it.”

Akuapem Poloo narrated how she lost herself when the reality of going to jail dawned on her at the entrance of Nsawam prison.

The video vixen shed light on her emotions after the sentencing.

“When I went to court, the woman, the judge, asked me to go for a pregnancy test, and she said after the test they should detain me. Immediately you get to a big gate, for them to push you to the prison compound, sis, your spirit will leave you.

“I took a picture with my son, and I did not know the way, how, and manner I took the picture with him would be a problem because I didn’t know about that.”

She described how emotional she was after the judge’s pronouncement, though it did not change the outcome.

“As for crying, I cried throughout the sentencing, but once the judges read the sentence, there’s no room for change. So, if you continue crying, it will be in vain, because eventually, they will take you to jail whether you like it or not. I was unable to eat.”

According to her, her first experience at Nsawam prison involved being quarantined in an isolated room, not in the cells.

“I didn’t know that being alone there was worse. I thought when you go inside the cell, they would maltreat you the way we hear about jail, so I was praying to stay there alone for my entire sentence, but quarantine is only for 10 days,” she added.
