Famed Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari, has expressed her profound sorrow over the tragic loss of two young girls, Maame Dwomoh Boateng and Justine Agbenu, who died in a horrific accident involving Elrad Amoako, son of Bishop Salifu Amoako.

In an emotional post on Instagram on Monday, October 21, 2024, she lamented, “What a tragedy! I can’t believe this happened to these beautiful little girls.”

It will be recalled that the tragic accident occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2024, when Elrad crashed into their Acura car with his mother’s Jaguar SUV in East Legon, resulting in a devastating fire.

Reflecting on the pain of losing a child, the actress wrote, “The loss of any child anywhere is the loss of a future everywhere.”

Her heartfelt message resonated deeply, especially as she emphasized the bond between mothers and their children.

“Can a mother leave her children? Certainly not! But the painful thing here is that, as the mother cannot leave her children, in this regrettable condition, the children have left their mothers. As a mother, I can deeply relate with the mothers of these kids and what they may be going through by now.”

A week after the incident, families, friends, and supporters gathered at the accident site on Friday, October 18, 2024, to hold a vigil in memory of the girls.

Maame Dwomoh was laid to rest on Saturday, October 19, 2024, after a private burial ceremony at the Agape New Testament Church. Many celebrities, including Nana Ama McBrown and John Dumelo, attended the event.

Nadia noted in her post with prayers for the grieving families, stating, “I pray for grace to be sufficient for you in this condition. I pray for strength for both families of the kids… Please accept my condolences… God will take care of you!!!”

The celebrated actress further prayed for love and empathy for the victims and sympathy for all who may need it.

“May God keep their innocent souls in perfect peace. My prayers are with the bereaved families. May the joy of the Lord strengthen you to enable you to go through this difficult phase of your life.

“I pray for healing of hurts for all involved in this painful tragedy. With a very heart, I say please have my condolences… God will take care of you!!!”

“Bishop Salifu is like an uncle to me because he grew up in Kwadaso, and I saw him when he was starting his church. He is a very good man. This is not the time to hate him, and I plead for leniency from the law. I also pray that God strengthens him because he is going through a lot.”

She also appealed to the families of the girls who died in the accident to forgive Pastor Salifu Amoako.

According to her, while the deaths are tragic, she hopes the families can find it in their hearts to forgive the pastor.

“I was present at the vigil held in East Legon. I saw the mother of one of the deceased, and you could see the pain she was going through. I know it is not easy to lose a child, but I want to plead with the families to forgive him.”
