Ghanaian dancer, Laud Anoo Konadu, popularly known as Dancegod Lloyd, has recounted how Afronitaaa joined DWP Academy.

Some years ago, the dancer founded the DWP Academy group alongside Quables and Afrobeast and played an integral part in its prominence.

Dancegod Lloyd left the group in 2022 over an alleged fallout between him and his co-partner Quables, which saw the latter take several jabs at him on multiple occasions.

Dancegod Lloyd shared that he first encountered Afronitaaa at a food joint when she was 12 years old at the time. “She met me at one joint, where I was eating,” he said.

According to him, the 2024 Britain’s Got Talent finalist excitedly rushed to him and expressed her interest in taking dance lessons from him.

Dancegod Lloyd said he encouraged Afronitaaa to join him and others at the DWP Academy dance studios for rehearsals and a potential spot on the group’s roster.

He noted that he developed a father-daughter relationship with the founder of the Afrostar Kids Academy, who was enthusiastic about the art of dance.

Dancegod Lloyd, who recently announced the formation of his DGL dance academy, said that Afronitaaa showed great determination and perfected her craft in less than three weeks after entering the dance studio.

He noted that Afronitaaa usually sent him footage of her dance routines at home for feedback from him.

Dancegod Lloyd added that he collaborated with her on different occasions and posted her solo dance videos afterward, which helped her gain the traction she currently has in entertainment circles.

The dancer’s remarks about Afronitaaa joining the DWP Academy garnered lots of reactions from social media users.

Dancer Recounts Feud With Allo Maadjoa Over Allo Danny

Dancegod Lloyd recounted his resurgence after leaving the DWP Academy, the dance collective co-founded by him and marketing executive Quables.

He established that Danny GFC was one of the first mentees to join his new group; however, that was not the original idea.

“I didn’t take Danny from Maadjoa. He came by himself, and he didn’t come to join me. Everyone likes Dancegod, so if he also knows Dancegod, that’s cool. We had each other’s contacts, but I never told him to join me and leave Maadjoa’s camp. That’s not how I am.”

According to the DWP co-founder, Allo Maadjoa initially admitted to him in a phone conversation that Danny wanted to relocate to Accra and stay with him; however, he was at DWP at the time and couldn’t make that happen.

Dancegod Lloyd’s remarks about Danny GFC come on the back of Allo Maadjoa’s interview with Zionfelix, in which he tagged his former mentee as ungrateful and dared him to disassociate himself from the Allo brand name.

In other news, the popular Ghanaian dancer is facing criticism after failing to mention his former manager and co-founder of DWP Academy, Quables.

Dancegod shared his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a household name in dance, but many viewers were disappointed by his decision to refer to Quables as “a certain guy” instead of acknowledging him by name.

He talked about the impact several people had on his career, including someone who helped guide him early on but did not directly mention Quables, with whom he had worked closely for years.

This omission did not sit well with many Ghanaians, who felt that, despite their personal issues, Dancegod Lloyd should have given credit to Quables for the role he played in his rise to fame.

Earlier this year, Dancegod Lloyd and Quables had a public fallout, which saw both parties making accusations against each other in separate interviews.
