Trump Iterates Familiar Attacks Against Harris

Former President Donald Trump speaks at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

Former US President, Donald Trump has once again attacked Kamala Harris during a press conference from his residence at Mar-a-Lago.

In remarks delivered to a room full of supporters who had waited over an hour, Trump appeared to blame Harris for wars overseas and unspecified “destruction” in the U.S.

The Republican candidate continued to attack Harris on immigration, one of his frequent talking points in this campaign.

Trump played a video in which the mother of Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl allegedly killed by two undocumented immigrants, blames the Harris for the child’s death.

He also brought on stage the mother of a woman, Kayla Hamilton, who was also allegedly killed by an undocumented migrant.

“Kamala … got innocent girls like Jocelyn tortured and killed. Kamala’s cruel and immoral actions on our border are disqualifying. In my opinion, she’s unfit.”

As he has many times on the campaign trail, Trump targeted the Biden administration with claims of it dropping planeloads of migrants “all over the Midwest,” mentioning Aurora, Colorado and Springfield, Ohio.

Trump announced that if reelected, he will seize the assets of “criminal gangs and drug cartels” and create a compensation fund for victims of “migrant crime.”

During his news conference, Trump asserted that Harris caused economic destruction during her time as Vice President.

He then cited “one of the most respected people on Wall Street” as saying that “the economy is only good because people think Trump is going to get elected.”

Moreover, Trump said “it was my honor to be involved” in his recent rally in Madison Square Garden in New York City.

“I don’t think anybody has ever seen anything like what happened the other night at Madison Square Garden. The love, the love, the love in that room. It was breathtaking and you could’ve filled it many, many times with the people that were unable to get in.

“There’s never been an event so beautiful. It was like a lovefest, an absolute lovefest.”

Trump will head to Pennsylvania for two rallies today after the press conference.

Vance Says Harris Not Qualified To Lead U.S

Meanwhile, JD Vance, Trump’s running mate, addressed a crowd at a city recreation center in Saginaw, Michigan, where he explained to the crowd why he believes Kamala Harris is not qualified to lead the country.

“We all agree, in this room, that politics is a little absurd from time to time, and sometimes we ought to poke fun at the absurdity of our political process. But you know what’s the most absurd thing about American politics in 2024? That a person like Kamala Harris thinks she can actually lead the United States of America.

“I’ve never seen anything like it in my life where, when you ask Kamala Harris what she wants to do for the American people, ask specifically Kamala Harris, how do you plan to fix the inflation that your policies have caused, how do you plan to make it more affordable for our fellow citizens to be able to buy groceries, for example? How are you going to fix the very problems that your policies created? She’ll say, Well, I grew up in a middle class family.”

JD Vance

Additionally, Vance stated that Harris and U.S President, Joe Biden are substantively the same and the Vice President has nothing new to offer. “I think the fact that so many of our fellow citizens are telling us they’re worse off, and they’re telling us that because they are, that explains why Kamala Harris is going around running as far away as she can from the policies of Joe Biden,” Vance said.

Vance mocked Harris, saying, “She’s copying all of Donald Trump’s policy, she might as well copy [his] style too.” He added, “You know, just complete the bit Kamala. It’s not working so far. Just lean into it a little bit more.”
