Quamina MP Rejects Stingy Artist Claims

I Was Not Fired By GroundUpChale – Quamina MP

Ghanaian musician, Quamina MP

Musician Quamina MP, born Emmanuel Kwamina Amonoo, has refuted claims that Ghanaian artists are stingy.

His comment comes on the back of claims that Ananzo has been promoting Ghanaian music but has never received a gift from artists he promotes in Ghana, but received an amount of $5000 from Davido.

In recent years, the Ghanaian art scene has gained international recognition, showcasing a diverse array of talents ranging from musicians and visual artists to filmmakers and fashion designers.

However, alongside this growth has emerged a troubling stereotype: the notion that Ghanaian artists are stingy.

This misconception not only undermines the significant contributions of these artists but also overlooks their roles as community leaders and philanthropists.

Quamina MP said not everyone would like to make public what they do for others on social media.

“Davido giving Ananzo Official $5,000 doesn’t mean Ghanaian artists are stingy, as some people might want to make it look like. Maybe a Ghanaian musician can give him more than that amount, but will never make it public.

“You never know how other Ghanaian artists are supporting him behind the scenes with numerous gifts for promoting our music. Unless we make it public before you know, but I will never say that no Ghanaian musician has given him anything, or we are stingy as people claim.”

Quamina MP

He was sure that Ghanaian artists are supporting Ananzo in several ways, but have failed to make it public. “I know that definitely Ananzo Official is definitely being given something small, though it is not something that is in the public domain,” he said.

Contrary to the stereotype of stinginess, many Ghanaian artists have made significant charitable contributions.

For instance, renowned musicians like Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have been involved in various philanthropic initiatives, including donations to orphanages, support for educational programs, and contributions to health care facilities.

Sarkodie, for example, has used his platform to raise funds for disaster relief efforts and has been actively involved in campaigns aimed at improving the lives of underprivileged children in Ghana.

Moreover, El Anatsui and Ibrahim Mahama have utilized their art to address social issues, often donating proceeds from their exhibitions to local charities.

These artists understand the power of their work and leverage it to foster change within their communities, demonstrating a commitment to social responsibility that contradicts the notion of stinginess.

The claims that Ghanaian artists are stingy are not only unfounded but also detrimental to the understanding of their true impact on society.

Through their charitable contributions, community engagement, and adherence to cultural values, these artists have demonstrated a profound commitment to uplifting their communities and fostering positive change.

It is essential to recognize and celebrate the generosity of Ghanaian artists, as they continue to redefine the narrative surrounding their contributions to society.

By acknowledging their efforts, it fosters a more accurate and appreciative understanding of the role of artists in Ghana and beyond.

Quamina MP is of the opinion that ladies easily fall in love with guys who speak Fante.

According to the Mankessim-born singer, Fante-speaking people are naturally funny, and ladies love guys who make them laugh and smile all the time.

He remarked that “Normally, when I engage in a conversation with my boys, they all get excited and start laughing because the Fante language is unique”.

“It’s true that speaking the Fante language makes a lot of girls admire you and probably fall in love with you. When the ladies hear you speak Fante, it sounds nice to them, and they want to even follow you home. Most ladies want to date a guy who will make them laugh or smile, and we, the Fante guys, are known for that.”

The allure of men who speak Fante extends beyond mere linguistic capability; it encapsulates emotional connections, cultural appreciation, social dynamics, and the joy of humor.

As women find themselves increasingly attracted to these qualities, it becomes clear that language is a powerful tool in the realm of romance.

Speaking Fante does not just signify communication; it represents a deeper connection to culture and identity, making it an attractive trait for many women.
