Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, was also captured in attendance. A Plus was captured in the company of his wife, Akosua Vee, at the event.

Gospel singer, Cecilia Marfo, also arrived at Independence Square in a solemn state, clad in a long blue-and-black straight dress with white polka dots.
She was also there to honour the memory of the deceased.

Gospel singer and songwriter Nana Osei, popularly known as Nacee, is also in attendance at the service. Prior to this, Nacee shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, honouring the eight statesmen.

He accompanied the message with his song Prayer Interlude (Extended Edition), using his music to offer prayers and comfort during this time of national mourning.

Ghana is still grieving the sudden loss of eight national heroes who tragically died in a military helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.

As the country continues to mourn, rapper Sarkodie released a remix of a song originally composed by the late Highlife legend A. B. Crentsil in the 1980s.

The new verse, taken from the original track titled ‘Moses,’ has sparked conversation among netizens, as Sarkodie used it to offer words of encouragement to Ghanaians during this difficult time.

In a post shared on X, which accompanied lyrics of the song, Sarkodie noted, “Felt like giving some hope to someone who needs it.”

In the under three-minute track, the musician began by encouraging those facing life’s struggles to remain patient and content with what they have, as others may be experiencing even more difficult situations.

Sarkodie, known for his creativity, added around the 25-second mark that people should not depend on others for their success, as human beings can easily let them down.

He further noted that no one knows an individual’s destiny, emphasising that God is the lifter of men.

He also urged people to pray for life rather than chase after money, adding that many wealthy individuals have passed away, leaving all their riches behind.

“Wo da so tease d33 odasani nii biaa nim wo daakye. S3 sika b3 to wonsamu aa menua 3nfa ho be baabiaa who hy3 ase nti. Nti ka wakoma no to wo yem, Nyame ne mr3 ne mr3 pa. Wo ko wo kotodwe nim aa 3misa sika, kas3 nyame me p3 nkwa.”
