The vibrant streets of Bukom, Jamestown, came alive as MobileMoney LTD officially launched Season 2 of MoMofest Keteke, a festival designed to combine entertainment with education and financial empowerment.
Following the remarkable success of Season 1 across Kumasi and Accra, this year’s edition kicked off with an electrifying show, attracting massive crowds eager to witness the blend of music, fun, and life-changing opportunities.
The event, which forms part of MobileMoney LTD’s broader mission to drive financial inclusion and deepen fraud awareness, created a unique atmosphere where technology, culture, and community seamlessly merged.
One of the biggest highlights of the Bukom edition was its all-star musical lineup. Music lovers were treated to unforgettable performances from some of Ghana’s top talents, including Olivetheboy, Mr. Drew, Fameye, and King Jerry, alongside thrilling acts from underground artistes who electrified the crowd.
The performances provided a carnival-like atmosphere, proving that MoMofest is not just an event, but an experience that keeps communities buzzing with excitement.
But beyond the lights and music, MoMofest’s true essence lies in education and empowerment. Through engaging sessions on fraud awareness, community members were equipped with essential knowledge to safeguard themselves when using mobile money services. This balance of entertainment and learning set the Bukom edition apart as both enjoyable and impactful.

Cashless Market Sparks Community Excitement
Another standout feature of MoMofest Season 2’s kickoff was the cashless market, a lively hub where vendors showcased their goods while embracing digital transactions. With discounts of up to 20% on a wide range of items, residents were quick to tap into the opportunities offered by the cashless ecosystem.
This initiative not only gave the community access to affordable products but also demonstrated the practicality of mobile money in everyday life. The market became a live demonstration of Ghana’s cashless future, aligning perfectly with the government’s ongoing digitisation agenda.
The Thrill of Big Wins
Excitement hit fever pitch during the MoMo Keteke Game Show, one of the most anticipated segments of the festival. Participants competed in fun, interactive challenges for the chance to win up to GHS10,000 in cash prizes. The energy was palpable as contestants battled it out while the audience cheered them on, turning the entire event into a celebration of possibility and reward.
The game show didn’t just provide entertainment—it reinforced the festival’s theme of making mobile money relatable, rewarding, and transformative for ordinary Ghanaians.
Speaking on the vision behind MoMofest, Alfred Hammond, Senior Manager for Marketing at MobileMoney LTD, explained that the initiative was more than just an entertainment-packed gathering.
“MoMoFest is more than just an event; it’s a movement to make financial services accessible, relatable, and rewarding for all. By blending education, entertainment, and community engagement, we are showing how mobile money can truly transform lives.”
Alfred Hammond
His words captured the deeper purpose of MoMofest—to create an environment where financial literacy is celebrated, and digital finance becomes a tool for empowerment rather than exclusion.
