Iran has condemned the European Union, accusing the bloc of enabling US-Israeli attacks on the country.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said in a post on X that Europe’s response to the war amounted to support for the attacks.
“The European Union’s indifference and acquiescence in the face of US and Israeli aggression, brutalities and atrocities amounts to nothing less than complicity.”

Prior to this, Baghaei criticized Germany over what he described as ignoring the actions of the United States and Israel. In a message posted on X, Baghaei responded to remarks by Johann Wadephul, Germany’s Foreign Minister, during his visit to Israel.

Addressing the German Minister, Baghaei wrote, “Germany’s FM! You’re siding with the aggressor while ignoring the fact that it is the Israeli regime that has attacked Iran and killed Iranian civilians — including 168 innocent children in the city of Minab alone.” He added, “This is how one ends up on the wrong side of history: by overlooking injustice and atrocities.”
Earlier this week, the Spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry commented on a video of a speech by EU Chief Ursula von der Leyen during which she said, “The people of Iran deserve freedom, dignity, and the right to decide their own future.”
“Please spare the hypocrisy. You’ve made a career out of standing on the wrong side of history green-lighting occupation, genocide, and atrocities, and now laundering U.S./Israeli crime of aggression and war crimes against Iranians.”

He accused the EU leadership of being silent “in the face of lawlessness and atrocity,” saying this “is nothing less than complicity.”
Now in its 13th day, the war shows no sign of abating despite US President Donald Trump’s insistence that US strikes on Iran had already practically defeated it.
Iran’s Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf issued a warning that any attempt to invade Iran’s islands would trigger an unrestrained response.
“Any aggression against soil of Iranian islands will shatter all restraint. We will abandon all restraint and make the Persian Gulf run with the blood of invaders.”

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said that up to 3.2 million people have been forced from their homes inside Iran since the Israeli-US war began on February 28.
The agency said that the estimate is based on early assessments of displaced households across the country. “This figure is likely to continue rising as hostilities persist, marking a worrying escalation in humanitarian needs,” UNHCR said in a statement.
Iranian President, Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran remains committed to regional peace but insists the war can end only if Iran’s “legitimate rights” are recognised.
In a post on X, Pezeshkian said that he had spoken with leaders of Russia and Pakistan and reiterated Iran’s position that the conflict was “ignited by the Zionist regime and the US.”
He said that any resolution must include recognition of Iran’s rights, payment of reparations and international guarantees against future attacks. There has been no response yet from Washington.
Pezeshkian posted his remarks as diplomatic efforts intensify to contain the conflict with Russia maintaining close contact with Iranian leaders and calling for a halt to hostilities.
Russia Urges US, Israel To Halt Attacks On Iran, Resume Negotiations

Meanwhile, Russia called on the US and Israel to stop their attacks on Iran and return to negotiations.
Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Moscow is pushing for steps that could reduce tensions and bring the conflict back on the diplomatic track.
She warned that the humanitarian situation across the region has become extremely difficult and described the continuing escalation as deeply worrying.
The appeal comes as Russia remains engaged in its own war with Ukraine, which is now in its fifth year.
Head of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom, Alexei Likhachev announced that Rosatom will stay in Iran despite the conflict in the Middle East and is committed to its agreement to build two more units at the Bushehr nuclear plant.
Rosatom, which built the first 1-gigawatt unit of Iran’s sole nuclear power plant at Bushehr, evacuated some of its staff and suspended construction work on the new units after the US and Israel launched strikes against Iran on February 28.
Likhachev said that about 450 Rosatom employees remain at the site, after 150 returned to Russia via Armenia this week.
“The construction of the second and third units remains among the corporation’s priorities. It is definitely not the time to leave. What is happening in the Middle East is only part of a global mosaic.”

A bilateral agreement between Russia and Iran allows for the construction of up to eight nuclear units, four of them at Bushehr.
