The Trade Ministry and Civil Service Council Engages on Strategic Role, Service Delivery for National Development agenda was brought to the forefront on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, when the Civil Service Council paid a familiarisation visit to the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry in Accra. The meeting focused on strengthening institutional cooperation and improving public service efficiency to support Ghana’s national development objectives.

Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr. Noah Tumfo, described the visit as a progressive step toward strengthening institutional accountability. He briefed the delegation on the Ministry’s operations, noting that it has over 350 staff and maintains representation in nine international missions. He highlighted ongoing policy reforms, particularly the Agribusiness Policy, which is in its final stages of development.

According to him, the policy is designed to strengthen value chains and improve productivity in the agricultural sector.
