Russian President Vladimir Putin has criticised EU sanctions against organizations where children spend the summer.
“Unfortunately, I must also pay attention to this, that the sponsors of the Kyiv regime, the European ruling elites, also come up with such things that no one had ever thought of before – they impose sanctions against the organizations where our children spend the summer, gain strength. It’s nonsense, some kind of nonsense, but nevertheless, it’s being done.”

Putin added that one can only guess what effect the authors of such restrictions expect. “Of course, the individuals who are doing this in Europe, I think, are shaming themselves, from the point of view of the common sense of normal people in Russia, and in Europe, all over the world,” he said.
He added that this is a “manifestation of some kind of stupidity, an attempt to do another petty dirty trick.”
Also, the Russian President ordered security agencies to strengthen security at educational and social facilities across the country. He stressed that external challenges come and go but children and youth are Russia’s future.
“Unfortunately, we can see that our adversaries would not hesitate to carry out terrorist attacks such as the strike on a dorm in Starobelsk. I would like to once again draw the attention of top security and intelligence officials to the need to strengthen anti-terrorist security and overall security across educational, social and infrastructure facilities.”

Putin Says Inflation On A Decline
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting with the Cabinet that measures taken by the national government have already resulted in the inflation decline. “How much is it thus far? Slightly above five percent,” Putin said.
He noted that proposals made by the business and presented at the meeting should be considered by the next meeting.
“Many proposals certainly deserve not merely consideration and attentive review but, as it seems to me, implementation – probably, something should be improved but it is reasonable in general to follow the steps, the areas suggested.”

He added that the success in measures against inflation makes it possible to expect that the key rate will be lowered in the future. “I believe we can rightfully expect key rate lowering and achievement of other required parameters,” Putin said.
“The rate will change, it will influence the currency rate. We do not do anything artificially here and it seems to me the professionals, including investors, should evaluate that.”
