Beyoncé has officially opened pre-orders for the 20th anniversary deluxe edition of her landmark 2006 album B’Day, giving fans a richly expanded celebration of one of her most influential solo works.

The announcement, made through her official channels and widely shared by entertainment accounts, confirms that the reissue will arrive on September 4, 2026 exactly two decades after the original album’s release and on the star’s birthday.

The centerpiece is an exclusive four-LP deluxe package pressed on 180-gram “Bayou Blue” vinyl. Priced at $149.98, the set includes the original album material alongside previously unreleased tracks from the B’Day sessions, Spanish-language recordings, B-sides, and the recently issued “Morning Dew (Donk).”

Collectors also receive a 60-page commemorative booklet filled with imagery from the era and two double-sided art prints. A more modest limited-edition two-LP version on 180-gram vinyl, featuring “Morning Dew (Donk)” and a 16-page booklet, is available for $44.98, while a CD counterpart with the same bonus track and booklet is offered for $14.98. All physical editions begin shipping in September 2026, with purchases limited per customer on Beyoncé’s official store.

The full 27-song tracklist blends familiar hits with long-awaited rarities. It opens with the album’s core sequence: “Déjà Vu,” “Get Me Bodied,” “Suga Mama,” “Upgrade U,” “Ring the Alarm,” “Kitty Kat,” “Freakum Dress,” “Green Light,” “Irreplaceable,” “Check on It,” “Beautiful Liar,” “Flaws and All,” “Resentment,” and “Listen.” These are followed by “Morning Dew (Donk),” the atmospheric track Beyoncé surprise-released on July 4 that launched a 60-day countdown to the anniversary.

New-to-most-listeners songs include “My First Time,” “Can I Watch You,” “Welcome to Hollywood,” “Lost Yo Mind,” “Creole,” and “Back Up.” The package rounds out with an extended mix of “Get Me Bodied,” Spanish versions such as “Irreplaceable (Irreemplazable),” “Amor Gitano,” “Listen (Oye),” “Beautiful Liar (Bello Embustero),” and “Get Me Bodied (Mueve el Cuerpo).”

The visual presentation matches the music’s bold spirit. The cover art shows Beyoncé in a striking black-and-white houndstooth ensemble, standing in a lush, swampy landscape while gripping the tail of a large alligator whose mouth hangs open on the grass. The imagery nods to the album’s Southern roots and the fierce, confident energy that defined the B’Day era. The back artwork continues the alligator motif against a dark background, listing the complete tracklist in clean white lettering.

B’Day arrived at a pivotal moment in Beyoncé’s career. Fresh from Destiny’s Child and her own debut Dangerously in Love, she recorded much of the album in a focused two-week period after filming Dreamgirls. The result was a confident, dance-floor-ready collection that mixed R&B, funk, and hip-hop influences.

Hits such as “Irreplaceable,” “Déjà Vu,” and “Beautiful Liar” (the latter a collaboration with Shakira) dominated charts and radio. The original deluxe edition, released in 2007, already expanded the project with Spanish tracks and additional songs; the 20th anniversary package builds further by opening the vault to material that had circulated only in fragments or remained unheard by most fans.

“Morning Dew (Donk)” served as an effective teaser. Bits of the song had leaked years earlier, building quiet anticipation. Its official July release, complete with a lyric video using archival footage, reminded listeners of the creative depth of the B’Day sessions.

Public Reaction

Fans quickly noted the inclusion of titles like “My First Time,” “Can I Watch You,” “Lost Yo Mind,” “Creole,” and “Back Up” as long-rumored or partially leaked cuts finally receiving proper presentation.

The timing also underscores Beyoncé’s ongoing engagement with her catalog. After the visual and conceptual ambitions of Lemonade, Renaissance, and Cowboy Carter, returning to B’Day offers a chance to revisit the foundation of her solo identity one rooted in tight songcraft, physical performance, and unapologetic self-assurance.

The limited-edition vinyl packaging, with its high-quality pressing and extensive booklet, targets both longtime collectors and newer listeners discovering the album through streaming or social media challenges that have periodically revived tracks such as “Freakum Dress.”

Pre-orders went live on shop.beyonce.com, prompting immediate enthusiasm across fan communities. Many highlighted the archival value of the unreleased material and the thoughtful presentation of the Spanish recordings, which originally helped the album connect with broader international audiences.

Others simply celebrated the visual return of the alligator motif and the chance to own a physical artifact from an era that helped define mid-2000s R&B and pop.

As September 4 approaches, the release is expected to spark renewed conversation about B’Day’s place in Beyoncé’s discography. The album captured her transition into a fully realized solo artist, balancing commercial power with creative control.

Two decades later, the deluxe edition affirms that the music still resonates while giving the Beyhive deeper access to the sessions that produced it. For fans who have waited years to hear certain tracks in official form, the wait is nearly over.

The Bayou Blue vinyl, the booklet of rare images, and the expanded track lists together form a comprehensive tribute to an album that continues to sound both of its time and timeless.
