Prudential Life Insurance Ghana has secured a major international recognition after emerging as Ghana’s leading Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) business and earning a place among the organisation’s 2026 Global Top 100 companies.
The achievement places Prudential Life Insurance Ghana at number one in Ghana and makes it the only insurance company in the country with MDRT qualifiers, highlighting the growing professionalism and strength of its agency network.
MDRT is internationally recognised as a benchmark for professional excellence in life insurance and financial services. The latest recognition therefore represents more than a company ranking. It reflects the growing contribution of Prudential Life Ghana’s Financial Consultants and Advisors to the company’s expansion within an increasingly competitive life insurance market.
The recognition also comes at a time when demand for financial protection, savings and long-term financial planning is becoming increasingly important to households seeking greater financial security.
Ghanaian agency force drives Prudential’s rise
Behind the recognition is a growing network of Financial Consultants and Advisors whose work involves helping customers assess their financial needs and make informed decisions about protection and long-term planning.
Prudential Africa has recorded significant progress in its MDRT performance over recent years. In the first half of 2026, 275 Financial Consultants and Advisors across the continent qualified for MDRT, following 662 qualifiers recorded throughout 2025.
The company attributes this progress partly to Prudential plc’s premier sponsorship of MDRT, a three-year global partnership launched in 2025.
The partnership gives Financial Consultants and Advisors across Prudential’s markets, including Ghana, access to global learning opportunities, leadership development, peer networking and best-practice sharing.
Emmanuel Mokobi Aryee, Chief Executive Officer, Prudential Africa, said “Across Africa, including Ghana, more individuals and families are recognising the importance of planning for their financial future”.
“Our Financial Consultants and Advisors have a significant opportunity to make a meaningful difference in their communities. The momentum we are seeing in Ghana is part of what makes Africa Prudential’s fastest-growing MDRT community globally, and we are incredibly proud of it. By continuing to grow our agency force, we are expanding access to quality advice, serving more customers and helping to raise professional standards in the industry.”

Training and professionalism take centre stage
The journey to MDRT qualification is supported by a structured development pathway that begins with recruitment and continues through professional training and mentorship.
Prudential said this includes product and sales training, needs-based advisory coaching, mentorship from experienced leaders and digital tools designed to help Financial Consultants and Advisors concentrate on customer relationships.
That human element remains particularly important in financial services, where trust and a clear understanding of customers’ individual goals can shape the quality of advice they receive.
The company’s Ghana operations are using this approach to strengthen its agency force while creating professional opportunities for Ghanaians interested in building careers in financial services.

Jane Mingle highlights customer focus
Commenting on the recognition, Jane Mingle, CEO of Prudential Life Insurance Ghana, linked the achievement to the discipline and professionalism demonstrated by the company’s Financial Consultants and Advisors.
“This recognition reflects the discipline, professionalism and customer focus of our Financial Consultants and Advisors across Ghana. As more Ghanaian families take intentional steps to secure their financial future, our Financial Consultants and Advisors continue to play a critical role in guiding those important conversations.
“Ranking No. 1 in Ghana, being the only insurer in the country with MDRT qualifiers and featuring among MDRT’s Global Top 100 is a proud moment for Prudential Life Insurance Ghana. It strengthens our commitment to raising professional standards, deepening customer trust and expanding access to quality financial advice across the country.”

The comments underline the role of agency professionals in connecting insurance products with the everyday financial concerns of households.
Prudential’s wider growth strengthens Ghana operations
The Ghana achievement is also backed by the scale of Prudential plc, which operates the second-largest MDRT agency force globally.
In its half-year results for the six months to June 2026, Prudential plc reported an 8.0% increase in new business profit to US$1,384 million, while margins expanded by two percentage points to 40%.
Agency-generated business accounted for 53.0% of Prudential’s total new business profit, while new business profit per active agent increased by 9% year-on-year.
Across Africa, annual premium equivalent sales also recorded double-digit growth over the same period, with the business maintaining top-three positions in several key markets.
Prudential Africa now has 12,000 Financial Consultants and Advisors across Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Ghana and Nigeria, representing a 71% increase over five years. Its customer base has also expanded to 2.6 million from 1.7 million in 2021.
A bigger opportunity for life insurance
Despite the growth, Africa’s life insurance market still has significant room for expansion. Outside South Africa, life insurance penetration across the continent stands at 0.3%, while insurance density is estimated at only US$5 per person annually.
That gap presents an opportunity for insurers to expand access to financial protection while improving the quality of professional advice available to customers.
Prudential Life Insurance Ghana’s MDRT recognition arrives against this backdrop, with the company positioning its investment in professional standards, technology and advisory capabilities as part of a broader effort to expand financial security.
Its entry into the 2026 MDRT Global Top 100 therefore adds an international dimension to Ghana’s increasingly competitive insurance industry, while placing renewed attention on the role of professional financial advice in helping households prepare for their financial futures.
