Predrag Jaredic has resigned as head coach of Vision FC with immediate effect after a disappointing start to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season that has left the Tema-based club languishing in the relegation zone.
The Montenegrin tactician departs after just seven league matches, having managed only one victory as Vision struggle to find consistency in the opening weeks of the campaign.
The club currently have six points and sit in the relegation zone following a run of results that has intensified pressure on their position in the top flight.
Vision FC confirmed his departure in an official statement, announcing that the coach had decided to step down from his position. “Vision Football Club confirms that Predrag Jaredic has resigned from his position as Head Coach with immediate effect.”
The club also expressed gratitude to the departing coach for his contribution and wished him well in his future endeavours.
“We thank him for his service to the club and wish him the very best in his future endeavours.”
Vision FC statement on Predrag Jaredic
Jaredic’s resignation comes just three days after Vision suffered a 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema New Town.

The result handed the Phobians their first away victory at the venue and extended Vision’s difficult run in the league, with the club failing to secure a win in their last six matches.
Although Vision have yet to provide an official explanation for the coach’s decision to leave, the team’s recent performances have placed their early-season struggles under the spotlight.
Poor Run Ends Jaredic’s Vision FC Tenure
Jaredic began his tenure with an encouraging 3-0 victory over Young Apostles on the opening weekend of the Ghana Premier League, raising hopes of a promising campaign under the new technical leadership.
However, that victory proved to be his only league success, as Vision subsequently recorded three draws and three defeats across their next six matches.

The sequence of results has left the club with little room for error as they seek to climb away from the relegation zone and establish greater stability in the competition.
Youth Coach Specialist Fails to Deliver
The 40-year-old was appointed ahead of the 2026/27 season, replacing Nana Kweku Agyemang, who left the club to take charge of FC Samartex 1996 after the conclusion of the previous campaign.
Vision brought in Jaredic as part of their ambitions to build a competitive side while maintaining a strong emphasis on developing young players.
The Montenegrin arrived with a UEFA A coaching licence and experience working within the youth development structure of Chinese club Qingdao Hainiu. I’m
He spent several years at the Chinese outfit, initially serving as a conditioning coach before progressing to assistant coach and subsequently taking charge of the club’s Under-21 team.
His appointment at Vision represented a new challenge in his coaching career, taking him from youth development in China to managing a senior side in Ghana’s top-flight competition.
However, his time in charge has ended prematurely, with the club now facing the task of finding a replacement capable of improving their fortunes.
Vision Face Crucial Decision Over Successor
Vision will hope Jaredic’s departure marks the beginning of a turnaround as they attempt to protect their Premier League status and avoid being dragged further into the relegation battle.

The club’s immediate priority will be to identify a new head coach who can address their inconsistent performances and help the squad return to winning ways.
With the season still in its early stages, there remains time for Vision to recover, but their next appointment will be crucial in determining the direction of their campaign.
Jaredic has become the second coach to leave his position at a Ghana Premier League club during the 2026/27 season, following Eric Tinkler’s departure from Asante Kotoko after just four matches in charge.
Tinkler left Kotoko citing personal reasons, while Jaredic’s reasons for resigning from Vision remain undisclosed.
Vision must now regroup as they seek to halt their poor run and secure their place in Ghana’s top division.
