Police React To Tiwa Savage’s Petition Against Davido

The Lagos Police Command revealed that they are investigating the alleged threats against musician, Tiwa Savage by her colleague Davido.
This was confirmed by the Lagos Police spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin.
“I can confirm that we received the petition. We have begun an investigation,” he said.
This comes barely 24 hours after Tiwa Savage, in a petition to the police, urged them to hold Davido responsible should anything happen to her.
In the complaint with the Lagos Police Command, she alleged a threat of assault and ‘grievous’ bodily harm from Davido.
Tiwa Savage explained that the discord in her relationship with Davido surfaced following her association with his former partner and the mother of his daughter, Imade.
Additionally, Tiwa revealed that mutual friends had alerted her to Davido’s anger and alleged threats and warned her.
She expressed her discomfort with Davido’s unwarranted messages and highlighted her right to live her life without fear of harassment.
“The actions of Mr David Adeleke are unethical and can be viewed as a direct threat to my rights to life, privacy, and dignity of my person. I, therefore, would like to make this complaint and to state that if anything untoward or harmful were to happen to me and any member of my family, I would like the Nigerian Police Force to hold MR DAVID ADELEKE responsible,” Tiwa Savage further added.

As the controversy swirls, netizens, keen on seeing them reconcile, flooded social media with a shared video capturing a warm moment between the two stars.
In the throwback clip during her performance at the ‘A Decade of Davido’ concert in Lagos on December 24, 2021, Tiwa Savage unveiled a nugget from the past.
She revealed an interesting chapter of her life, recounting the time when she and DMW boss Davido shared an apartment after her relocation to Nigeria.
The mother of one in her statement said, “A lot of people know this but when I moved back to Nigeria, I was sharing an apartment with David in 1004. I am so proud of you”.
The singer who thrilled the audience, shared a hug with Davido before she continued her performance.
Fans stumbled upon the old clip and couldn’t help but dish out their thoughts on the delightful exchange between the singers. Some yearned for a reconciliation, while others seized the moment to point fingers and play the blame game.
