Singer Olawale Oloforo, also known as Brymo, has shared personal and sensitive information about his family’s past.
Brymo discussed the circumstances surrounding his birth and his mother’s experiences.
He stated that his mother had a traumatic experience as a teenager and was seeking help at various spiritual centers without realizing she was pregnant.
Brymo stated that his mother’s strength and courage in speaking out about her experience is a big inspiration to him. He describes the story of his birth and family as complex and mysterious.
“The story surrounding my birth and the entire family is weird. There are always mysteries. There is a story of my mum, she had a traumatic experience, a sexual experience as a teenage girl. It was a r@pe incident. And for some weird reason, she didn’t see her period anymore afterward. And that kept on like that for three years or so till she met my dad.
“While they were taking her around herbalists and doctors, and pastors and imams, wherever they could go, so she could start bleeding, a woman needed to see her period before she could get pregnant, well, it happened that she was already pregnant, five months in and there was no blood. So, that was strange, right? I had to kick for her to know that a child was there. While everyone was giving her medicine to drink, they were trying to force an abortion without knowing [laughs].”

Brymo accused Burnaboy of sending boys to beat him up, and claims 2face and Davido are accomplices.
He reckons that Burna Boy’s “Big 7” track and a video of Davido flaunting people decked out in sevens are more than mere coincidences, insinuating that they’re somehow connected to the attack.
Brymo Reacts To Reports He Asked Simi For Affair
Brymo refuted claims that he asked Simi for sex in exchange for a musical collaboration.
The singer was quizzed about the controversy surrounding the reports, “I didn’t want to create art with her,” Brymo interjected.
The ‘Ara’ singer stated that, unlike the reports, Adekunle was the one who came to him for a collaboration first before Simi.
“Adekunle Gold came to me. Those two wanted to get married and then they took a break to hustle separately and then Adekunle Gold came to me and said that we should create an album together and I said no. Simi also came to me and I said no, then suddenly she did an album with Falz.”

Brymo stated that he was accused of requesting sexual intimacy, calling Nigerians “sick people.”
“The reports then came in that Simi and Falz were dating. Simi and Falz? Nobody even knew that Simi and Adekunle Gold had stuff going on during that period. So I came back to gist everyone about what happened then and then they started accusing me of asking Simi for sex in exchange for a collaboration. Nigerians are sick people!
“That’s dark. They came to me first of all, it didn’t happen second of all, then I came to tell everyone what happened later. That’s it.”

In other news, Brymo revealed that his colleague, 2Baba, accused him of having an affair with his wife, actress Annie Idibia.
The ‘Ara’ crooner stated that he was informed that he was not the only person accused of sleeping with Annie.
He said he decided to distance himself from 2Baba and his family because of the accusation.
He emphasized that he was doing his best to avoid any confrontation with the ‘African Queen’ singer.
“I heard gist that people have been accused before me of sleeping with Annie [Idibia]. So I didn’t like it. I said I don’t want to get close to this man [2Baba]. I don’t want trouble.”
