Ghanaian actress and businesswoman, Haniya Rosemond Alade Brown popularly called Akuapem Poloo has revealed that the only regret she has in her life is the picture she took with her son.
She stressed that she has no regrets from her childhood aside from the picture with her son, and bemoaned how she would explain things to her son.
“Is seriously haunting me. I’m thinking about my son. He’ll grow up. As he is growing now, he’s asking a lot of questions already. As a single mother, I need to prepare myself for how I’ll answer him so that he would understand the situation of his nakedness and standing in front of me, as if he’s looking at mommy’s nakedness will sound in his mind. That is my only regret.”

She claimed that currently the photo cannot be found on the web when googled, though it comes to her mind always.
“Allah help my son also to be strong to [handle] it so that he wouldn’t haunt me with it.”

In July 2020, to mark her son’s seventh birthday, Akuapem Poloo posted a photo of her squatting in front of her son and they both looked naked.
This sparked public outrage, and the Accra High Court sentenced her to three months in prison in April 2021, explaining it was a punitive measure to deter others from doing the same or similar.
Also, Akuapem Polo strongly noted she will never have cosmetic surgery.
She responded to a question without hesitation.
“Never in my life. Then God should kill me, which he won’t. I’m not saying it’s bad; anyone can do whatever they want to do.”

She, however, snapped her fingers and passed them over her head.
“Tattoos and that body enhancement procedure, God forbid. I will never do it”.

She emphasized that no one could make her do it not even her husband.
Haniya Rosemond Alade Brown expressed profound confidence in her natural looks and asked a rhetorical question.
“Do you know the number of people who envy me for my buttocks? This flat tummy, they wish they had it. So, please, I love my body. I love everything God has given me.”

The social media star also indicated she was against bleaching, and her complexion was “in the blood” taking after her mother.

Akuapem Poloo addressed a viral video that caused a stir on social media in March 2024.
In the video, she was seen smashing the windshield of a car belonging to musician Theo Vesachi, an incident that occurred during Ramadan.
The actress revealed that the altercation was entirely staged.
“Everyone knows I’m an actress and I don’t mind creating controversy. Theo had a song coming up so he approached me and asked that we do something controversial to bring attention to the song.”

“I was even afraid but he assured me that he would buy a new one. So I did, and truly, that same day, he replaced it.”

“The Muslim community was worried when the video came up, but I explained myself to them and assured them that it was staged. So it was settled.”
