Funke Akindele Advocates Against Toyin Abraham’s Bullying

Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has called for orderliness amidst the continuous bullying of her colleague Toyin Abraham by netizens and overzealous fans.

Funke Akindele shared beautiful photos from her movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, a promotion, and a heartwarming note.

The box office records breaker pleaded for love and kindness. She urged everyone to be kind with their words as it can make or break anyone who is being spoken to.

She spoke about the struggle of others and encouraged that words should be spoken or written to lift, encourage, and support others.

“Spread love!!! Be kind!! I want to remind you all that everyone has a story, and words can make or break. That’s why I want to emphasize the importance of kindness on social media. Everyone struggles, and words can hurt.

“Let’s lift each other up with love, encouragement, and support. Remember, bullying isn’t just physical – words matter.”

She spoke about the struggle of others. “To my incredible fans, I urge you to spread kindness, ignore negativity, and shine your light. Let’s create a supportive community where everyone feels valued and loved,” she added.

It is no news that Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham’s fans have been fighting unnecessarily on social media.

Toyin Abraham penned an open letter to Funke Akindele about the rivalry, which took a toll on them personally and in their careers.

She spoke about how fan wars caused their unnecessary feud and congratulated her for achieving the one billion landmark in the cinema.

Following this, Toyin Abraham bashed netizens who came to her comment section to troll Funke Akindele.

A troll took to Toyin’s comment section and said her rival, Funke Akindele, would be recreating her post in 12 hours. This did not sit well with the award-winning actress, who reprimanded the troll immediately.

Meanwhile, Funke Akindele made headlines after a troll slammed her for eating okra soup.

It all started when the movie star took to social media to share a video of herself preparing her plate of food. The movie star scooped some okra from a pot and added it to her plate of fish and stew. A big plate of swallow was also spotted in the corner.

However, it wasn’t long after Funke shared the post on her social media page that a troll shared their displeasure with it. The netizen condemned Funke Akindele for eating okra despite being a member of the Celestial Church.

Funke Akindele, Eniola Badmus Rekindle Friendship

It appears that all is now well in the relationship between former besties, Funke Akindele and Eniola Badmus.

Rumors earlier swirled that the two movie stars were no longer on good terms because Akindele allegedly didn’t acknowledge or celebrate Badmus on her 20 years on stage.

The pair, however, played down the alleged animosity between them recently. It started when Badmus shared her picture and captioned it “Woman Crush Wednesday”.

Akindele responded to the post by teasing her colleague, joking that Badmus didn’t quite look like “chocolate or amala”. In her response, Badmus also laughed over her comment with several emojis.

Not finished with her teasing, the high-grossing actress made another comment, referring to Badmus as the “president’s daughter” and playfully challenging her to a fight at her house. Funke Akindele added that Badmus should come over and beat her at home.

In her response to the reaction, Eniola Badmus said she was coming and added that Akindele should wait.

The banter online caused many reactions from netizens.

“Aunty Funke, I hope Omo ghetto spirit still Dey to fight.”
