Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician, Diana Hamilton has been enstooled as the Nkosuohemaa (Development Queen Mother) of Dodo Tamale in the Oti Region, recognizing her contributions to the community.
She was given the stool name Nana Hemaa Adwoa Amponsah I during a ceremony held before the commissioning of a newly constructed school building.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the ‘Mo Ne Yo’ hitmaker was spotted in what looked like a church auditorium with loads of people seated. She was clothed in green kente with beads around her neck and wrist.
She took a few steps and was helped to sit on a stool by some elderly women. After sitting down, the crowd clapped and shouted in excitement.
The enstoolment follows her philanthropic efforts through the Diana Hamilton Foundation, which recently completed a five-classroom block with an office unit, furnished with chairs and tables for all classrooms.
This initiative, aimed at enhancing education in the area, was executed in partnership with Adom Group of Companies.
The ‘Adom’ hitmaker first launched the initiative in 2021, organizing a fundraising dinner to support the construction of the school.
The sod-cutting ceremony took place in January 2022, and after nearly three years of work, the project was completed in December 2024.

Before the official commissioning of the school, the chiefs and people of Dodo Tamale honored her with the Nkosuohemaa title to express their gratitude for her impact on the community.
Speaking at the event, the celebrated artist expressed her gratitude to the community for their warm reception and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting educational initiatives across Ghana.
The completion of the school project is part of the activities leading up to the 2025 edition of the Awake Experience with Diana Hamilton, a powerful worship encounter scheduled to take place in three major cities: Accra, February 16, 2025, at ICGC Christ Temple East, Teshie; Kumasi, February 23, 2025, at the Church of Pentecost Bantama; and Sunyani, March 2, 2025, at Eusbett Hotel.
This year’s event promises an exciting lineup of gospel music legends, including Uncle Ato, Pastor Joe Bechem, Cindy Thompson, Quame Gyedu, Kofi Owusu Peprah, Mabel Okyere, Sandy Asare, and Kweku Teye. Team Eternity GH, Elder Emmanuel Awortwe, and other gospel ministers will also perform.
Tickets for the event can be purchased via the shortcode *725*8080# across all networks.
The Awake Experience 2025 is sponsored by Awake Purified Drinking Water and powered by Enterprise Life Ghana. Other supporting partners include Jospong Group, Property Electronics, and Beulah Insurance.

She attributed her success to consistency, thoughtful content, and divine grace.
“I will say it’s by the grace of God and consistency. We’ve been doing it for a long time. I keep saying that I’ve had my YouTube account since 2007. So it’s grown over the years, and the right content has also kept our numbers soaring.”
