A recent video of a woman alleging to be 2Baba’s mum, Madam Rose Idibia lamenting about the mental state of her son and his recent public profession of his love for Edo State lawmaker, Hon Natasha Osawaru.

It can be recalled that a video of 2Baba proposing to Hon. Natasha Osawaru to marry him as they bid to spend the rest of their lives together.

In the video, the Edo State woman accepted 2Baba’s proposal, and the clip went viral online.

This happened after 2Baba had publicly announced his separation from Annie Idibia and revealed that their divorce was already in the works.

Another drama seems set to unfold as a video posted on 2Baba’s younger brother’s page, Charly Brave, where the iconic singer’s mum decried her son’s current mental state has gone viral.

In the trending video, Madam Rose Idibia slammed her son. She indicated that he is not in his right senses and has been dealing with the trauma that comes with going through a divorce.

She explained that 2Baba’s current actions don’t show signs of him being in his right senses and are inimical to a man under the influence of “Jazz.”

Mrs. Idibia accused Hon. Natasha Osawaru of controlling her son with the use of “Edo Juju”. She further claimed that the lawmaker has put a certain bead around her son’s neck and his wrist, which she uses to control him.

The video of 2Baba’s mother condemning his engagement to Natasha and her plea for the Edo state lawmaker to free her son quickly went viral on social media and raised mixed feelings from Nigerians.

“I keep telling people… There’s no how a person will spend years with another person and just move ahead like there was nothing. Especially if they have had several years of dating plus years of marriage and children and all the achievements together. Instead, they would wait to get over them first than just move on with another partner like that. Except it is spiritual or the person is just masking it.”

@Bond__builders

“My heart goes out to all the young children involved. I hope they don’t develop any form of trauma from this show of shame. Please consider your children’s mental health… Especially the teenage ones.”

@Micheal_ogabor

“I wanted to say the same oooo that 2Baba is acting like someone under a spell.”

@Heypurity

“It’s the audacity for her to come here. Where were you when it was time to train him how to control himself? Where were you to be supporting or advising that he would be accountable for his marriage? Please Natasha increase the juju. Get 5 more beads and cowries.”

@Dr_afeshilda_md

“What a good start to marriage.”

Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, also known as 2Baba’s family declared him missing and took steps to find him.

On February 14, 2025, a copy of the petition went viral on social media and it was gathered that the Idibia family had involved the Department of State Service (DSS) to locate 2Baba.

It was said that the music star had been missing since February 10, 2025, after leaving the house in loungewear, suggesting that he was going for a walk.

However, 2Baba is said to have not returned home since then and efforts to reach him by members of his family and staff had proved abortive.

In the document, it was also stated that the family was more distressed after messages were sent from 2Baba’s social media accounts, soliciting funds from people.

His family claimed the singer has always been independent and the monetary requests had led them to believe that he may have been abducted by someone trying to exploit his contacts for money.

News of 2Baba’s disappearance by his family drew the attention of Nigerians after it went viral. Several of them connected the singer’s unavailability to his relationship with Edo state lawmaker, Honorable Natasha Osawaru.
