Nollywood actress, Adesua Etomi has marked her birthday with deep gratitude, reflecting on the challenges she overcame in the past year.
In an Instagram post, Adesua revealed that 2024 tested her resilience, making her appreciate the gift of life even more.
She disclosed that she battled hyperemesis for months, leading to hospitalization, all while supporting her husband, singer and politician Banky W, through another surgery for a cancerous tumor.
The actress further shared that she underwent an emergency C-section and endured a difficult healing process, which she described as harrowing.
Expressing appreciation to the medical teams in Lagos and Washington, DC, who cared for her, she also thanked her husband for his unwavering support.
“2024 really tried to take the wind out of my sail, so I am so grateful to be here celebrating my life and God’s faithfulness. I also want to thank everyone who gave me grace in 2024, especially those who didn’t know what I was going through. I know I missed a lot. I was missing a lot, but you extended grace and wrapped me in so much love.
“My village people are incredible. God has used this season to stretch me and show me that I am capable of much more than I ever realized. Now? NOW, I am coming for everything that’s mine. Nothing and nobody can stop me. I woke up to the best gift ever. Jemima Osunde came to surprise me.”

Despite the hardships, Adesua Etomi remains optimistic and determined. She declared that she is stepping into a new season of reclaiming everything that belongs to her.

Nigerian singer and politician, Bankole Wellington, better known as Banky W, made a lifetime assurance to his beautiful actress wife, Adesua Etomi, on her birthday.
In an Instagram post, he noted how people change and evolve into different versions of themselves over time, but the prayer is that as lovers evolve, they should be just as into each other as they were when they first met.
Banky noted that he has been with Adesua Etomi for eight years, and this eighth year is his best. He has watched her grow and can’t wait for the world to see her shine.
Banky promised that no matter what the future holds for them, he is hers, and she is his.

Bisola announced the release of the single on her Instagram page as she shared a video showing Adesua Etomi and her newborn with her speaking in the background.
On the significance of the single, Bisola revealed that she and her best friend have a tradition of recording hit vocals for each other on their respective birthdays.
Bisola expressed her love for Adesua and thanked God for having her in her life. She prayed that all her heart desires would come true.
