England manager, Thomas Tuchel, has confirmed he has a fully fit squad at his disposal to choose from ahead of the Three Lions’ blockbuster FIFA World Cup semi-final game against defending champions Argentina in North America.
The two footballing heavyweights will meet at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Wednesday, with a place in Sunday’s final at stake. The winner will face Spain, who booked their place in the final after a 2-0 victory over France in the first semi-final.
Tuchel delivered encouraging news during his pre-match press conference, revealing that every member of his squad is available apart from suspended defender Jarell Quansah.

The England boss also dismissed concerns surrounding midfielder Declan Rice after questions over his fitness. “All the players are fit to play tomorrow,” Tuchel said. “Everybody is good and fit to go, except Jarell who is suspended.”
Tuchel Believes Both Teams Can Be Beaten
Despite acknowledging Argentina’s quality throughout the tournament, Tuchel insisted neither side is unbeatable and believes England have prepared thoroughly for the challenge ahead. “Every team is beatable, and so is Argentina and so is England,” the German said.

Tuchel revealed that his technical staff have spent considerable time analysing Lionel Scaloni’s side and are confident they have developed a strategy capable of troubling the reigning world champions.
He stressed that execution, discipline and concentration would be vital if England are to reach their first World Cup final since their historic triumph in 1966.
Argentina Eye Another Final Appearance
Argentina enter the contest aiming to defend the World Cup crown they won four years ago. Led by captain Lionel Messi, La Albiceleste have navigated a demanding route to the last four, eliminating Cape Verde, Egypt and Switzerland in the knockout rounds.
Two of those victories required extra time, against Cape Verde and Switzerland, highlighting both their resilience and ability to deliver under pressure.
However, England are widely regarded as the toughest opponent Argentina will have to face in the tournament so far.
The semi-final also carries added intrigue as it marks Messi’s first-ever meeting with England, one of international football’s most celebrated rivalries.

Encounters between the two nations have produced unforgettable moments over the decades, from Argentina’s controversial and iconic victory in Mexico in 1986 to England’s penalty shootout triumph at the 2002 World Cup and Argentina’s dramatic shootout success in the 1998 Round of 16.
In 1986, the late Diego Amando Maradona scored against England with his hand which has later been labeled as the hand of God goal in their quarter final clash.
England’s Stars Chasing World Cup History
England have shown remarkable resilience on their journey to the semi-finals. The Three Lions recovered from a goal down to defeat Norway in the quarter-finals after Jude Bellingham inspired another memorable comeback.
Bellingham has been in sensational form, scoring four goals across England’s last two matches. The Real Madrid midfielder struck twice in the Round of 16 victory over Mexico before adding another brace against Norway to emerge as one of the standout performers of the tournament.

Captain Harry Kane has also been influential, with the experienced striker matching Bellingham’s tally of six goals. The pair will carry England’s biggest attacking threat as they seek to guide the nation to its first World Cup final appearance in 60 years.
Golden Boot Battle Adds Extra Edge
Beyond the race for a place in the final, individual honours will also be on the line in Atlanta.
Messi enters the semi-final level with France captain Kylian Mbappe on eight goals in the race for the Adidas Golden Boot. Although both players have found the net the same number of times, Mbappe currently leads the standings by virtue of his three assists compared to Messi’s one.
After the France captain failed to register a goal against Spain, Messi now has the opportunity to move clear at the top if he scores against England.

England’s Kane and Bellingham remain outsiders in the race with six goals each and could rapidly close the gap should either, or both, find the net against Argentina.
England are chasing a first World Cup final since lifting the trophy in 1966, while Argentina are attempting to become back-to-back world champions. With both squads packed with world-class talent and Tuchel confirming his players are fit and ready, all the ingredients are in place for a captivating semi-final that could define the legacy of this World Cup.
