Jamaican singer and songwriter Tina, formerly known professionally as HoodCelebrityy, released her self-titled album TINA on August 19, 2026. The project marks a significant milestone in her career, blending dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, and Afrobeats influences while highlighting transatlantic collaborations with Ghanaian stars Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.

The album arrives as Tina continues her rebrand, fully embracing her given name after years performing under the HoodCelebrityy moniker. Born Tina Pinnock on July 5, 1991, in Portmore, Jamaica, she moved to the Bronx, New York, at age 12. There she absorbed hip-hop culture while staying rooted in Caribbean sounds.

She first gained attention in 2015 with “Wine Pon It,” which gained traction after a share from longtime friend Cardi B. Her 2017 single “Walking Trophy” became a breakout hit, peaking on Billboard charts and establishing her as a versatile voice in dancehall and urban music.

TINA is positioned as her most personal and expansive full-length effort to date. In recent interviews, Tina has described the album as a reflection of growth, healing from past trauma, and creative freedom. She has spoken about vulnerability, family reconnection, and moving beyond the high-energy persona that defined earlier work.

The project follows her 2024 release Tina vs Hoodcelebrityy and a series of singles that expanded her sound and international reach.

Central to the album’s buzz are its features with two of Ghana’s most prominent artists. Stonebwoy appears on “Peace Of Mind,” a 2025 collaboration that pairs Tina’s Caribbean cadence with Stonebwoy’s Afro-dancehall and spiritual lyricism. The track, produced by Kofi Black, was accompanied by a music video filmed in Ghana and has been praised for its message of self-empowerment and cultural unity. “Don’t tell me how to live my life… I go do all the things I like” became a standout refrain, resonating with audiences across the Caribbean and West Africa.

Shatta Wale features on “You Know The Vibe” (also known as YKTV), a track originally released in 2023. The song captures energetic dancehall vibes and further solidifies Tina’s ongoing connection to the Ghanaian music scene. While both collaborations predate the album’s release, their inclusion on TINA highlights Tina’s deliberate effort to bridge Jamaican and Ghanaian sounds.

Additional prior work with Stonebwoy, including the late 2025 single “Third World,” has similarly highlighted this cross-continental dialogue.

Music platforms list TINA as a 16-track project. Early track titles shared in streaming previews include “Round The World,” “More Rounds,” “Everybody Know,” “Malfunction,” “Wine One Time,” and “Pon di Ground.” The album is available on major services including Spotify, Apple Music, and others under her KSR Group releases.

Tina has promoted the project through interviews, noting her excitement for fans to experience the full body of work and her evolution as both an artist and individual.

The release comes amid Tina’s broader career momentum. After early mixtapes Can’t Believe It’s Just a Girl and Trap Vs. Reggae in 2017,the latter peaking on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart she signed with Epic Records and continued issuing singles and EPs. Tracks like “Bum Pon It,” “Run Di Road,” and various remixes kept her visible in dancehall and hip-hop circles.

Her decision to drop the HoodCelebrityy name in recent years reflected a desire to avoid being boxed in and to present a fuller artistic identity.

Public Reactions

Industry observers note that collaborations between Caribbean and African artists have grown more common, driven by shared rhythmic foundations and streaming-era global audiences. Tina’s partnerships with Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale fit this trend while giving her music additional reach in Ghana and the wider African diaspora. Stonebwoy’s established fan base, known as Bhim Nation, and Shatta Wale’s long-standing influence in Ghanaian dancehall provide natural platforms for the tracks.

In a recent television appearance shortly before the album drop, Tina confirmed the August 19 release date and encouraged fans to stream the project across platforms. She also discussed the personal significance of the rebrand and her hopes for touring and stronger connections with Jamaican audiences.

Public statements around the album emphasize themes of self-love, resilience, and artistic maturity.

As of its release, TINA represents both a culmination of recent singles and a new chapter. By including established collaborations with Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale alongside original material, Tina positions the album as a statement of continuity and expansion.

Listeners familiar with her earlier high-energy anthems will encounter a project that balances those roots with more introspective and cross-cultural elements.

The album is now streaming worldwide. Fans of dancehall, Afrobeats, and hybrid Caribbean-African sounds are likely to find TINA a notable addition to 2026’s release calendar, further cementing Tina’s place as an artist comfortable operating across borders and genres.
