Famous American singer, Cardi B, has expressed concern over Donald Trump’s victory in the US 2024 presidential election.

Cardi B and Beyoncé are among other celebrities who endorsed Kamala Harris.

The rapper, Cardi B, posted and swiftly deleted a social media video about the U.S. election results on Tuesday night.

The ‘I Like That’ rapper, who had endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris for President, took to X as her Republican rival Donald Trump started to take the lead in several swing states.

“We need a Hail Mary,” she wrote, before posting a brief video in which she seemingly aimed at those who voted for Trump to return to the White House.

“This is why some of y’all states be getting hurricanes, that’s all Imma say,” she said, using a face filter that extended her forehead and gave her a goatee.

While she gave no context, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper made her comment shortly after the battleground state North Carolina was called for Trump along with hurricane-prone states such as Florida and Texas.

The 32-year-old remained active on social media throughout the night. At one point, she jumped on an Instagram Live and expressed her pride in Harris.

“I just hope she knows no matter what happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her. Women around the world are proud of her. Women of color are proud of her.”

She also posted a video in which she appeared emotional and downcast as a newsreader discussed Trump’s gains. Over the top of the video, she wrote, “I hate y’all bad (sic).”

Cardi B delivered a speech in support of Harris at a campaign rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin last week.

Reflecting on the moment, the musician wrote on Instagram, “If you know me you know I’m the biggest history nerd and I’ve been talking about politics on all my platforms for a long long time so this was a dream come true.”

Trump won the election on Wednesday morning. Harris has yet to concede or address her supporters.

Celebrities React as Donald Trump Declares Victory

A host of celebrities have reacted in vastly differing ways after Donald Trump declared victory in his presidential showdown against Vice President Kamala Harris.

At just after midnight on Wednesday, when former President Trump celebrated the election results, he had been declared the winner of several battleground states.

CNN had declared him the victor in Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin remained too close to call, though he held leads in each of those states.

Republican Trump addressed supporters as the results rolled in.

“This was a movement like nobody’s ever seen before, and frankly, this was, I believe, the greatest political movement of all time. There’s never been anything like this in this country and maybe beyond, and now it’s going to reach a new level of importance because we’re going to help our country heal.”

Trump touted a “political victory that our country has never seen before” and promised the “golden age” of the United States. He described his voter group as “the most unified coalition,” touting his gains among Black and Hispanic voters.

In contrast, Harris campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond announced at about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday that the Democratic nominee would not be speaking to supporters at her watch party at Howard University in Washington D.C.

As news of Trump’s impending victory dominated the news cycle and circulated across social media, a host of celebrities shared their reactions, both in support and against the former real estate mogul’s projected return to the White House.

Elon Musk, who acquired X, formerly Twitter, in 2022 and has been a prominent Trump supporter, took to his platform to declare: “The people of America gave @realDonaldTrump a crystal clear mandate for change tonight.”

The billionaire businessman, who campaigned for Trump, also shared a post that read, “Game, set and match” as the Republican edged closer to victory.

Comedian Rob Schneider opted to celebrate the win by sharing a photo of the U.S. flag

“THERE WILL BE NO LATE-NIGHT BALLOT DROP THIS YEAR… THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN. THIS IS A LANDSLIDE VICTORY AND A MANDATE FOR OUR 47TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES DONALD J TRUMP.”

Joining the celebrating celebrities was professional wrestler Eva Marie, who stated: “GOD BLESS AMERICA.”

The former WWE star rounded out her post by adding a prayer hands emoji flanked by two U.S. flags.

Also backing Trump, former college swimmer Riley Gaines expressed how she feels in an X post.

“Every day for the past three months I’ve prayed for this country and that God’s will be done. This feels like an answered prayer. It’s the Year of Jubilee.”
