Diana Asamoah Fires Critics

Popular Gospel musician, Diana Asamoah

Popular Gospel musician, Diana Asamoah, has lambasted persons who criticize President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s flagship program, the Free Senior High School policy that has enabled deprived individuals to gain access to education.

Diana Asamoah dismissed claims of the Free SHS having a negative impact on academic work due to its challenges.

According to her, she sees nothing wrong with parents being made to pay extra fees by the Senior High Schools because the government has taken a larger portion of the amount to be paid.

She further added that Ghanaians should vote for the NPP to continue in governance in order to fix the problems and make it better.

“If Nana Addo has not done anything at all, he brought Free SHS. With the complaints about food, have you ever heard that a student has died of hunger? Listen, even if you go abroad, When the government is catering for students, they make parents make some payments but my father’s compassion made him cater for almost everything,” she said.

“So If parents pay extra fees, what is wrong with it? As time goes on things will change, that is why they need to vote for NPP to remain in power,” she further stated.

Diana Asamoah further stated why she thinks the NPP will be able to break the 8.

“The reason why I have hope that the NPP will break the 8 is because by next year most of the students who were enrolled in the Free SHS will turn 18. So their votes alone can win the elections for the NPP only if they are not ungrateful to the President [Akufo-Addo],” Diana Asamoah asserted.

The Free SHS policy by the government has been criticized by some members of the public calling for a review to address the challenges, adding that the system of education is not beneficial to the students.

Most people believe that the Academic year School calendar is not effective for the students as compared to previously.

Jabbing Of Alan Kyeremanten

Diana Asamoah revealed that there is no way Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen’s Movement for Change will threaten the success of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.

She noted that Alan Kyerematen’s resignation from the NPP will not affect the party in any way hence his new political Movement for Change will not damage NPP’s chances going into next year’s elections.

Diana Asamoah reiterated that NPP will continue to thrive as a party regardless of the individuals who have decided to resign from the party and pursue their own agenda.

Diana Asamoah stated that Alan Kyerematen’s butterfly which is a symbol for his movement can never defeat the NPP in the upcoming elections.

Speaking on some of the prominent people in the party [NPP] complaining about Alan Kyeremanten’s resignation, Diana Asamoah expressed her thoughts.

“Let me tell you something, even Jesus when He started his ministry; started with 120 people and later it reduced to 72. It then diminished drastically to 12 people and because Jesus was steadfast in His faith, He conquered. It is part of humans. So anyone who has left the party we wish them well that God will make their ambitions prosperous,” she said.

Also, speaking on Alan Kyeremanten’s party, which is the Movement for Change, Diana Asamoah asserted that there is no way his party can knock out the NPP party, adding that the battle is the Lord’s.

Alan Kyerematen resigned from the New Patriotic Party to form his own Movement for Change to contest in the 2024 elections as a presidential candidate.

Meanwhile, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be representing the NPP as the flagbearer in next year’s elections.
