Nigerian music producer and Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy has opened applications for the Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027, a partnership with TS Academy that offers eligible applicants up to 100 per cent tuition coverage for technology and digital skills training.
The announcement was made on Monday, 26 October 2026, via a video posted on his X account. In the post, Don Jazzy directed interested people to the official portal and wished applicants luck. The programme aims to expand access to practical tech education for young people, many of whom may lack prior experience or the full means to fund training.
According to details on the scholarship website and multiple reports, successful applicants can receive tuition support worth up to ₦447,000. Selected beneficiaries also qualify for an additional discount on the application fee. The initiative further advertises 50 free laptops for qualifying students and internet data support for up to 500 learners, subject to demonstrated need, eligibility checks and available resources.
Courses on offer span a wide range of in-demand fields. Options include artificial intelligence and automation, data analytics, cybersecurity, software development, digital marketing, product design (UI/UX), content creation, data science, virtual assistance, project management, product management, DevOps engineering, graphics design, frontend development and backend development. Most programmes are described as beginner-friendly, meaning applicants do not need previous technical experience.
Mode of Learning
Learning can take place online, in physical classes or through a hybrid format. Preferred start dates listed for the 2027 intake are 28 February, 30 March and 31 July. Applicants choose a preferred course and start window during registration; course changes remain possible before the first cohort begins in late February.
TS Academy states that it is accredited by the American Council of Training and Development. Beyond tuition relief, the programme includes practical project-based training, mentorship from industry professionals, internship opportunities and job-placement support. An official message attributed to Don Jazzy on the scholarship site reads: “I’ve always believed that talent is everywhere. Sometimes, all people need is the right opportunity to showcase their abilities. This scholarship is about giving more young people that opportunity in tech.”
Applications close on 30 November 2026. Interested candidates must visit https://donjazzy.tsacademyonline.com/, complete the online form, select one course, provide personal and educational details, and indicate any need for additional support such as a laptop or data. Submitting an application does not guarantee a place or full benefits.

Offers are determined after review, and selected students receive enrolment instructions through the contact information they supply.
The scholarship is structured as a training-fee award rather than a cash grant or living allowance. Successful applicants who accept an offer are required to pay a discounted application or acceptance fee to secure their place. Device and data assistance is limited and allocated only to those who meet additional criteria after the cohort resumes.
About the Music Producer
Don Jazzy, whose real name is Michael Collins Ajereh, has built a prominent career as a producer, artist and label executive. The scholarship continues a pattern of public figures in Nigerian entertainment supporting skills development outside their primary industries. By partnering with an established training provider, the initiative seeks to lower financial barriers to entry into technology careers at a time when digital skills remain in high demand across Africa.
Official materials emphasise that slots are limited. Prospective applicants are advised to apply only once, supply accurate information and carefully review the terms before submitting. Those who receive offers will be expected to complete enrolment formalities and begin studies according to the chosen start date.
The programme’s design reflects an effort to combine tuition relief with practical pathways into employment. Mentorship networks, community support and job-placement assistance are presented as integral elements rather than optional extras. Accreditation by an external body is cited as a measure of the training’s formal recognition.
As the November deadline approaches, the volume of applications is expected to grow. Organisers have not publicly disclosed the total number of scholarships available or the precise selection criteria beyond eligibility, need and resource constraints.

What is clear from the published information is the dual focus on accessibility for beginners and measurable outcomes through certification, practical experience and employment support.
For many young Nigerians, the combination of reduced or waived tuition, potential equipment assistance and structured learning pathways represents a tangible route into fields that continue to expand.
Applications remain open through the official portal until the end of November. Those considering applying are encouraged to review the full list of courses, learning modes and frequently asked questions on the site before completing the form.
