Ghanaian music producer, Emmanuel Mallet, also known as Zapp Mallet has taken a swipe at prophets and religious leaders who have made several prophecies about the upcoming December 7 elections.

While some prophets like Rev. Owusu Bempah, Elisha Salifu Amoako have claimed victory for the flag bearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, others have identified the flag bearer of the Opposition NDC, John Dramani Mahama as the winner of the 2020 polls.

Touching on the issue in an interview with Hot FM, the music producer accused the religious leaders of deviating off the path of God. According to him, God is ‘not a confused God’ and will not give contradicting prophecies on a national election.

He noted, that their actions could plunge the nation into chaos as they raise the hopes of party fanatics.

Zapp Mallet further explained that it is important, for men of God to serve as instruments of peace instead of making pronouncements that could disrupt the peace in the country.

“Those men of God who have been seeing things, like their God is a confused God….different prophets say different things, that God said this and that, and it’s the same God, I don’t worship a confused God.

“I don’t like a confused God, I worship a pure God. God is not an author of confusion. God cannot say this today and say a different thing tomorrow,” he fumed.

Later during the interview, when asked if Ghanaians will ever change from the duo political system he said,

“If we want to change we can change but, if we still have the same type of people sitting at the top then nothing is going to change. The change comes from deep within us. As Ghanaians, we have to change because whatever it is, whether NPP, NDC, CPP, PNC anyone who takes up the seat, if you are not changed from within or you are not delivered from that kind of attitude then we will still remain the same. We need attitudinal change”.

Touching on the matters of prophecies, it has recently surfaced that a Ghanaian prophet, Cosmos Affran reached out to the public to intercede on behalf of a famous Ghanaian rapper, to avert a doom he foresees ahead of him.

According to the prophet, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him and gave him the revelation concerning the rapper. He stated that the rapper in question, will lose his life either through a road accident or “a human plot” and all the media houses would announce it as breaking news.

Prophet Cosmos Affran never mentioned the actual name of the artiste. However, he mentioned the initials ‘M.O.A.S’ in his post and stated that the rapper is a ‘superstar BET award winner’.

Owing to this, a critical analysis of his post suggests the said rapper might be Ghana’s very own, Sarkodie, since Sarkodie is the only rapper from the country to win a BET award.
