Guru NKZ, known in private life as Maradona Yeboah Adjei has said he would have been mocked heavily by Ghanaians if he failed to win his bid as President.
The President-elect of the University of Ghana, Student Representative Council (SRC) said his new song ‘Bebree’ is to celebrate his feat and thank God for winning the elections.
“When you look at my new song, Ball J the producer cooked the beat and I acknowledged where I had the inspiration from to do this ‘Bebree’ song. Ours is to entertain our fans and admirers and so from day one, I will continue to put smiles on the faces of my NKZ fans and continue to do what God has asked me to do.
“We are using this ‘Bebree’ song to celebrate Christmas because if I had lost the SRC people would have mocked me so much in Ghana. The level of mockery would have been gargantuan if we lost but now that we have won we need to show them that God has been good.”

Guru NKZ further expressed his gratitude, stating, “Who am I to be given such a prestigious position because I was known on the stage to perform but by grace, I’m now in school with such an honor.”
The President-elect of the University of Ghana revealed that he was disappointed when he was disqualified from the race.

According to the musician, his decision to contest for the SRC President didn’t trend like when he was disqualified from contesting.
“It’s true that when I was disqualified from the SRC race I became so disappointed, especially looking at the effort we put into the campaign. When I announced my decision to contest for the SRC presidency, it didn’t trend like the way the news was trending when I was disqualified.
“That should tell you that success has many fathers but failure is an orphan so in fact I was so disappointed when it came up that I’ve been disqualified. However, the issues they used to disqualify me were things that are not part of the criteria and have been removed from the SRC constitution.”

Guru also expressed his gratitude to several top Ghanaian celebrities, including Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Lilwin, and Keche, for their support during his successful campaign.
The rapper revealed that these entertainers played a pivotal role in boosting his visibility on campus, contributing significantly to his victory.
Guru further acknowledged that, while he doesn’t have personal relationships with all these celebrities, their backing greatly influenced his campaign.
Grateful for the overwhelming support, the musician plans to show his appreciation to the stars through social media and looks forward to reciprocating their kindness in the future.
He believes their contributions were crucial to his success in the election.
Guru Supports Bawumia’s Digitalization Agenda

The musician voiced his support for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s digitalization agenda.
Guru NKZ believes that Bawumia’s policies will provide significant opportunities, particularly for the creative industry and the youth.
He highlighted that the push toward digitalization aligns with the global trend and offers a promising solution to Ghana’s economic challenges. “The reason we vote is because of the policies and ideologies of a person. If the world is going digital and someone wants to take us further into that space, I will support them,” he said.
Guru NKZ emphasized that Bawumia’s plans for digitalization would help create jobs and alleviate economic pressures, which, in turn, would benefit creatives and other sectors.
“The jobs created through this initiative will help neutralize the pressure on our falling currency, and I see this policy as very effective. I support it because it will move the country forward, not backward.”

He further explained that his support for Bawumia is based on the potential of these policies to benefit the entire nation, not out of personal bias or hatred.
“If the policies work out as planned, it will help all of us,” he added, encouraging others to focus on long-term benefits over political divisions.
