Meanwhile, the ‘Heart of Men’ actress also revealed that she uses the profit made from previous productions to fund her upcoming movies. She also posited that support is sometimes offered by companies who reach out to her for placements.

Yvonne Nelson’s latest movie is titled ‘The Men We Love’. It explores different themes including; love, betrayal, comedy, and tragedy. Casts for the movie include: Majid Michel, Yvonne Nelson, Kofi Adjorlolo, Michy Diamond, Regina;Van-Helvert, Angela Bamford, Sophia Kalorizos, Comedian Hogan, and Jacqueline Mensah. The rest include James Gardiner, Nana Ansomah, Solomon Fixon Owoo, and others.

Yvonne Nelson started off as an actress whose claim to fame was the 2007 Ghanaian-Nigerian drama ‘Princess Tyra’—where she played the role of a princess who was betrothed to a prince who did not love her in return. Her astounding performance in the Frank Rajah Arase-directed film introduced her arrival onto the movie scene and cemented her success in the film industry across Africa.

To amplify her other capabilities, she ventured into movie production in the year 2010 and has films like ‘Sin City’, ‘Fix Us’, ‘The Men We Love’—which premieres on 14th February 2022, to her credit.

Yvonne Nelson Speaks Against E-Levy Bill

Yvonne Nelson, touching on the E-levy brouhaha, opined that the government should shelve its implementation. According to her, the masses are not happy about the levy, therefore, do not want it introduced.

“The E-Levy, Ghanaians do not like the idea, so why don’t we listen to Ghanaians. They are not happy about it, why don’t we listen to Ghanaians, it’s really that simple”.

Yvonne Nelson called for the Bill to be scrapped as demanded by Ghanaians. She is now one of many industry players who have shared their disapproval of the levy.

Rapper, Sarkodie, in a tweet, averred that he does not believe Ghanaians are kicking against the proposed E-Levy because it is “bad”. According to him, many are not in support of the levy because citizens do not get to enjoy the benefits that come with paying taxes unlike people who live in Western countries.

Shatta Wale on the other hand, opined that the leaders in the country are being insensitive to the plight of Ghanaians with the introduction of the bill.

Actress, Lydia Forson also noted that the introduction of the levy will push the country’s digitization plan backward.
