Award-winning Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has vowed never to share confidential information with her mum anymore.
According to her, when she was invited to perform at King Charles III’s coronation, she told her mum about it and asked her not to tell anyone but the mum told her brother in less than 20 minutes.
Tiwa Savage said she didn’t realize initially how big a deal it was to perform at the King’s coronation.
She said:
“When I got the call about performing at the King’s coronation, I didn’t tell a lot of people at first. But eventually, I told my mum and as always I was like, Mum, please don’t tell anyone. Then literally 20 minutes later, my brother is calling me, he was like, ‘Oh my gush!’ And I’m like, mum, wow! So, I’m not telling my mum anything again.
“Initially, I didn’t realize how big a deal it [performing at the King’s coronation] was. And I also didn’t know who else was going to be performing either. So, I didn’t know I was going to be the only one representing the Commonwealth. So, when I started getting that information, I was like, Wow! No pressure. It was great though”.

She further added by expressing so much gratitude for such an opportunity coming her way.
She said:
“Like I said, to represent the Commonwealth, and just looking back at the performance. It was ironic. It was such a great experience for me”.

It can be recalled that Tiwa Savage became the first Nigerian artiste to perform at a British royal event after thrilling guests at King Charles III’s coronation concert and Big Lunch in March.

Tiwa Savage revealed how nervousness almost ruined her performance at the historical coronation of the British monarch, King Charles III.
Tiwa Savage admitted that she was nervous in the first few seconds of her performance at Windsor Castle.
She said:
“It was beautiful [to perform for the King]. It was such an amazing moment to represent the Commonwealth and to be on that stage.
“I was nervous, I will say the first few seconds. But as soon as I started singing, I said, I have to just get swept away by the crowd”.

Tiwa Savage and the Queen Consort met before her historic performance at the coronation ceremony.
The ‘Queen of afrobeats’, as she is fondly called, also described the British Queen Consort, Camilla, as a very lovely woman during the show.
Her electrifying performance had the audience bouncing at Windsor Castle. Taking to Twitter a day after her performance at the coronation ceremony, she relished a video clip and captioned it that she will tell her son one day.

A music executive and estranged husband of Tiwa Savage, Tunji Balogun, aka Teebillz, declared his ex-wife the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) among Nigerian female artists.
Teebillz who was the ex-manager of Tiwa Savage said the musician paved the way for female artists in Nigeria and also harped on his contributions to the success of Nigerian female music stars.

Sharing a photo of his ex-wife via his Instagram page, the music executive wrote:
“Without her, without me, no female artiste will stand the chance… Let’s start the debate! She’s still the GOAT regardless”.

It can be recalled that Teebillz and Tiwa Savage got married on November 23, 2013.
The couple welcomed a son, Jamal, in 2015 before officially parting ways in 2018 following allegations of infidelity and drug addiction by both parties.
