A Nigerian lady has taken to social media to call out popular singer Davido, accusing him of using his wealth as a shield for questionable behavior.
The lady expressed concerns that many people overlook the singer’s actions due to his financial status and generous online giveaways.
The accuser, who admits to being a fan of Davido, did not mince words as she criticized the singer’s conduct.
She suggested that Davido might be leveraging his wealth to engage in behaviors that would otherwise be condemned if carried out by someone in a different financial bracket.
The lady implied that the singer’s charisma and philanthropic acts, such as giving money to fans, may be clouding the public’s judgment regarding his behavior.
“Davido is my guy, but I have to say this – he is badly behaved. I think it’s because we’re not in the same bracket. He’s a wealthy guy. He has always been wealthy all his life. I think sometimes he hides under wealth to perpetuate some very bad behaviors, and people don’t call it out as much because you know he has vibes and then giveaways here and there,” the lady said in part.
The accuser also brought up Davido’s recent publicized rift with fellow artist Tiwa Savage. She expressed surprise at the escalation of the dispute, considering the longstanding friendship between the two artists.
The lady pointed out that the public might have been reluctant to criticize Davido’s actions in the feud due to his financial status.
Also, Davido disclosed that he only became aware of his family’s wealth at the age of 13.
Davido’s revelation sparked significant interest, providing insights into his upbringing and revealing a previously lesser-known aspect of his life.
“All this talk about being rich, my dad is very disciplined. He’s quite different; you can tell he’s a very disciplined man. I didn’t know we had money till I was 13. Despite being a billionaire, my dad drove a Honda Accord, I’m telling you,” he spoke about his father and his early years.
He spoke about how he got to find out about his father‘s wealth.
“Let me tell you how I found out. Something happened in Nigeria, in the area where we lived. There was a mistake, like a bomb blast, and many houses were destroyed. Our first house, from my birth until around age 11, was a big compound with a bungalow. When that incident occurred, we had to leave immediately because the house got so messed up,” he said.
Ademola Adeleke, Showing Off Football Skills
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who also happens to be the popular Nigerian singer Davido’s uncle, stunned players at the Osun State stadium as he showcased his football skills among the local players.
The fun video captured the governor attempting to kick the ball into the pitch, with his successful attempts drawing cheers and laughter from onlookers.
This amusing spectacle comes amid recent criticisms directed at Governor Adeleke and his leadership in Osun State.
It may be recalled, that in October 2023, Daniel Regha criticized both the governor and Davido, accusing the music star of behaving as though his family owned the state.
The criticism from some citizens was fueled by perceived unfulfilled promises made by the governor.
In response to the criticisms, Davido took to Twitter to vehemently defend his uncle, expressing his support for Governor Adeleke’s governance.
Meanwhile, in a separate development just hours ago, Davido made headlines for acquiring a new property in one of Lagos State’s poshest areas, Eko Atlantic.
The newly acquired landed property, valued at a whopping sum of N10 billion, was proudly shared by Davido on his Instagram story.
In similar news, Davido Adeleke, the sensational figure in Afrobeats, delighted his fans with whispers of a new acquisition in the prestigious Eko Atlantic.
A video spotted on the artist’s social media unveiled him amidst the blossoming landscapes of the upscale coastal region.
The OBO crooner strolled alongside a Caucasian contractor, expertly showcasing his new terrain by pointing out key spots.
