The mother of late Kumawood actor, Osei Tutu, sorrowfully recounted circumstances that led to the death of her son, disclosing that a spiritualist once removed nine pins from his throat in an attempt to circumvent a spiritual attack.
Giving an account of how events leading to her son’s death unfolded, the mourning mother disclosed that she found out about her son’s ill health after she called him. According to her, Osei Tutu was supposed to visit her, however to her surprise, he didn’t show up and that necessitated the call.
“Two weeks ago, he said he would come and visit me, but he didn’t show up. I called him but he didn’t answer. Then later, he called me and I spoke to him; he sounded terrible,” the mother whose name was not disclosed said.
According to the mother of the deceased, after hearing of her son’s health, she sent her youngest child to go check up on his brother. She noted that Osei Tutu and his brother went to the hospital and returned to her place the following day since Osei Tutu’s health was getting better.
“I asked my son what was wrong with his brother and he said he was feeling pains in his throat. He said when he coughed, he saw blood in the phlegm. Osei couldn’t eat, he couldn’t drink water. For the past three weeks, he was in pain and couldn’t eat. Osei came back to my place the following day and he slept in his brother’s room. Unfortunately, he couldn’t eat”.

According to Osei’s mother, due to the gravity of the pain her son was facing, it made him restless and she was extremely worried.
Asked if there were visible symptoms around Osei’s throat, his mother answered noting that there were no visible symptoms such as swelling or rashes and that “nothing showed that he had a problem with his throat”.
Osei Tutu’s mother then disclosed that her son once told her of how he sought spiritual assistance after feeling so much pain in his throat.
“He [Osei] told me that it was an attack from the movie industry. He told me that when he sought help from the spiritualist, nine pins were removed from his throat,” Osei’s mother revealed.

Lovers of Kumawood movies on May 17, 2022, got a piece of shocking news about the death of one of the popular actors in the industry, identified as Osei Tutu.
At the time news about his death surfaced on social media, little was known about the cause of his death with some people giving their own versions or story surrounding his death.
The news about his sudden demise was communicated by fellow Kumawood actors and industry players as they sent their condolences to the bereaved family.
Born on May 12, 1971, Osei Tutu started his acting career around 2000. He became very popular through the movies he starred in. Affectionately called Tutu, the lively actor starred in several movies alongside Kumawood stars like Agya Koo, Kyeiwaa, Emelia Brobbey, and several others.
Per some reports, Osei Tutu tried to become a rapper in 2010 but could not make a meaningful imprint and so dropped that career and focused on his acting till his demise.
