Prophet Emmanuel Adjei Reacts To LGBTQIA+ Bill Pass

Prophet Emmanuel Adjei

Prophet Emmanuel Adjei has reacted to the passage of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill in Parliament.

The founder of the Prophetic Prayer Palace International, Spintex, upheld Ghana’s sovereignty as a republic of 67 years. He argued for the nation’s right to defend and safeguard its traditions and culture.

Though a Christian, Prophet Adjei observed Islam and African Traditional Religions favor polygamy, “but if you go to the USA and marry two people together, you’ll be jailed,” he said.

He wondered if America would compromise its stance on polygamy just because Africans protested.

“It is a cultural thing. We say we don’t want LGBTQIA+. I feel they should respect our laws,” Prophet Adjei landed his point.

In light of Miss Virginia Palmer, the US Ambassador to Ghana, bemoaning the passing of the so-called Anti-LGBTQIA+ Bill, which awaits assent from President Nana Akuffo-Addo.

“You came to work, you simply came to light fire [for cooking] and so it is not your place to examine the soup and what’s therein. Light the fire and go to your house. It is not everything that is seen as a matter of rights [even] to you [Americans]. We insist this is what we want. Respect our laws, respect our morals, respect what we think is right,” he recalled an Akan proverb.

On the West denying Ghana loans, and other economic repercussions, in light of the controversial bill, he challenged African leaders to rise up and see this as an opportunity to build their nations.

“Africa will be better than America because all the resources that feed America, Europe, and Asia are in Africa,” he further added.

He emphasized that there is an urgent need for new leaders who are not self-centered and selfish.

“Ghana is overladen with resources, what is left is only good leaders. If we have good leaders and good citizens, we will know no suffering and hardship,” he urged.

“According to a research I made, I was shocked to learn these Americans are behind a lot of foreign business here,” Prophet Adjei said.

He gave the impression Ghana could cunningly leverage this knowledge, as a trump card, in the face of all threats and intimidation from The West.

Prophet On Humble Beginnings, Finding God

Prophet Emmanuel Adjei made a startling revelation about his lodging conditions when he was a boy.

Talking about how he eventually became a Christian, he revealed that hardship and suffering made him a Christian.

He noted he was raised in a humble background of Christians where food was difficult to come by, adding that his mother could only rent a place where dead bodies were cared for.

He said the strange accommodation was in Sekondi and anytime there was a funeral, they checked out and returned after the ceremony.

Prophet Adjei revealed that he was about 9 years old at the time, explaining these were the days families kept their dead at home in a dedicated room, and not in today’s funeral homes.

While his mother slept outside when a corpse was brought in, he said, he would be in the room in one [separate] corner opposite the corpse.

“It was so tough at a point my mother had to go to Cote d’Ivoire leaving me all by myself. I came to realize, then, my only hope was in God,” he said.

The Prophet agreed people find their Christian faith under various odd circumstances.

“Someone was chasing a woman, followed her to church, and when they heard the preaching, was touched and decided to abandon their initial plan and chase God rather,” he said lightheartedly.

To buttress his point, Prophet Adjei recalled once sleeping in a hotel owned by a man called Molefe in QwaQwa, South Africa.

“When I went there, the hotel was new and they gave me their presidential suite because a man of God was coming, they said. I stayed there for three weeks. Something strange happened to the next person who used the room, after I left. I was informed a man came to use the room with his girlfriend. I was told, in the evening, the pair were heard speaking in tongues.

“They had repented. They initially went there for sexual activities but because I had slept there for three weeks, the grace of God that settled there convicted them – God had come to stay in the room the three weeks I was there. The pair spoke in tongues and became born again right there.”

He revealed that the room is not given to anyone except pastors. “They have my name written there: ‘The Prophet’s Room’,” he said contentedly.
