The Leader and Founder of Anointed Palace Church, Rev. Obofour, has added his voice to the ongoing discussions surrounding the tragic accident involving Bishop Salifu Amoako’s son and the demise of two young girls.
During one of his services, Rev. Obofour pleaded with Ghanaians to forgive Bishop Salifu’s son for his role in the incident.
According to him, he empathizes with the victims’ families and deeply wishes the tragedy had not occurred. He further urged other men of God to join him in asking for the forgiveness of Bishop Salifu’s family.
“Bishop Salifu is a good man. His son and mine attend the same school, and sometimes youthful exuberance makes children make silly decisions. He is sorry, so please forgive him.”

On the back of an apology from Bishop Salifu Amoako to the families affected by the fatal accident, entertainment pundit, Vida Adutwumwaa also stated that while the tragic incident is heartbreaking, the apology should be considered in the spirit of reconciliation.
She believes the preacher has endured sorrow, having been hit with the devastating news and backlash from several quarters.
“Our condolences to the bereaved family. We expect the law to take its course. The offender is a minor, and the parents are taking the blame due to his age. An apology has been rendered, so we plead with the family; if they can accept the apology, they should do so, so we can move on.”

Commenting on the apology, Vida expressed concern over the incessant criticism and insults hurled at the preacher. “Prophet has spoken, and it’s evident from his swollen eyes that he has really wept,” she said.
The entertainment pundit stated that the prophet has suffered damages from every angle and has no option but to apologize.
“His family has been attacked for lacking parental control; his calling a prophet has been questioned to the point that his apology has been dismissed. It seems like there’s no help for him from anywhere.”

Salifu Amoako, a prominent religious leader and father of Elrad Salifu Amoako, the 16-year-old boy involved in the tragic accident that claimed the lives of two young girls in East Legon, issued a public apology in a viral video addressing the incident.
This was after an Accra Circuit Court granted bail to the General Overseer of Alive Chapel International and his wife, who had been arrested to assist in the investigation.
Arnold Describes East Legon Crash as Manslaughter

Entertainment pundit, Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo speaking firmly stated that the tragic East Legon accident was not just a simple accident, but a result of carelessness.
He believes the incident, which took the lives of two young women, should be seen as murder, and manslaughter rather than just an accident.
Arnold blamed the actions of the 16-year-old boy involved in the crash on poor parenting. He added that the boy’s parents, Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, and his wife, should be held responsible for what happened.
“It’s hard to imagine that two kids were trapped in the burning car. It’s heartbreaking, and you can only think about the pain their parents must be feeling. This tragedy could change their parents forever. They couldn’t even be with their children in their last moments to comfort them.”

Entertainment pundit, Nana Ziega also expressed skepticism regarding the Archbishop’s prophetic abilities.
He noted that the Archbishop, who had even predicted the deaths of four pastors during his watch night service, should have been aware of his son’s situation, given his significant spiritual mantle.
