Sarkodie is known to be the 'King of dripping' among the many Ghanaian celebrities and he has proved yet again why he deserves that crown.

Sarkodie, an entertainer and entrepreneur in Ghana.

Ghanaian top rapper and BET award winner, Sarkodie has finally released his much-anticipated album, ‘No Pressure’ and this has become the number one trending topic on social media.

The ‘No Pressure’ album has sixteen (16) mind-blowing tracks with features from eleven (11) of some A-list musicians all across the globe including; Wale, Vic Mensa, Giggs, Cassper Nyovest, Harmonize, Kwesi Arthur, Benerl, Darkovibes, Medikal, Oxlade and MOG Music.

That notwithstanding, the ‘No Pressure’ album owes production credit to Kojo Farinella, Kayso, Altranova, Certified Bangers, MOG, BeatFreaks, Rexxie, Coublon, and Kaywa. More so, it was executively produced by KJ Spio and Sarkodie himself.

It is worth noting that the SarkCess Music boss, Sarkodie has already released some songs off the album as a teaser.

It can be recalled that Sarkodie first of all released ‘No Fugazy’ which according to some showbiz analysts on various digital platforms has been struggling with streams and views on social media.

Sarkodie later dropped ‘Coachella’ featuring Kwesi Arthur about a month ago. The music video did well with streams as it recently hit a million views on YouTube.

Sarkodie also released ‘Vibration’, featuring Roc Nation signee, Vic Mensa. This song has won the heart of many Ghanaians and most of Sarkodie’s fans have highly tipped the song for international awards.

It is worth mentioning that the ‘You Go Kill Me’ hit-maker, Sarkodie released his debut album; ‘Makye’ in 2009 and has been consistent since then. He’s regarded as one of the successful rappers in Africa.

It can be recalled that Sarkodie in 2019 bagged an award for the artiste of the decade at the Vodafone Ghana Music Award. That same year, he won the first-ever ‘Best International Flow’ prize at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

Sarkodie now has seven (7) albums to his credit namely; Makye (2009), Rapperholic (2012), Sarkology (2014), Mary (2015), Highest (2017), Black Love Album (2019), and No Pressure (2021).

Controversies surrounding #NoPressure album

It is worth mentioning that Sarkodie’s most talked-about album ‘No Pressure’ came with its own controversies.

The ‘No Pressure’ album was set to be released some weeks ago however, Sarkodie disappointed his fans after he postponed the release date that was scheduled for 9th July 2021.

He revealed that due to some circumstances beyond his control, he was forced to postpone the release of the much-anticipated album. He later communicated a new date to his fans when he promised to release the album no later than 30th July 2021.

This got his fans and some Ghanaians talking as they speculated that he may not be done with the album and is probably engaged with other business.

That notwithstanding, brows were raised when Shatta Wale recently threw his weight behind Sarkodie for the release of the ‘No Pressure’ album.

As ‘SarkNation’ were anticipating the release of the album, Shatta Wale urged his SM fans and the whole of Ghana to also support his “brother” because when Sarkodie wins, Ghana also wins.

Shatta Wale in a Twitter post wrote: “Let’s all support it… If sark wins, Ghana wins #NoPressureAlbum#SHAXI”.

There were several mixed reactions following Shatta Wale’s tweet. One main reason being that Shatta and Sarkodie are at loggerheads. Some questioned if the ‘beef’ between them was finally over.

Well, prior to Shatta Wale’s support, Sarkodie asked his fans to support Shatta Wale’s latest business, ‘Shaxi’. Some people therefore noted that maybe Shatta Wale is only returning the favor.
