Yul Edochie Launches His Own Church

Yul Edochie, the controversial Nollywood actor and filmmaker extraordinaire, has ignited a virtual flash point with his bold proclamation of launching his church.

Before making the big reveal, rumors were ablaze when the movie star, on Tuesday morning, dished out a teaser about an upcoming event in his life.

The filmmaker said later in the day, on Tuesday, January 23, he would make the biggest announcement of his life.

“I’M ABOUT TO MAKE THE BIGGEST ANNOUNCEMENT OF MY LIFE TODAY AT 2 PM,” he wrote.

In a follow-up post, Yul Edochie hit up his social media platforms to spill the beans that the much-anticipated revelation was none other than the grand unveiling of his new church, set to premiere on YouTube.

The actor, who’s always been vocal about his fervor for serving God, proclaimed in his caption that the moment had arrived to heed the call of the Almighty.

According to him, it’s time for him to wholeheartedly engage in God’s work, spreading the authentic message of faith.

His words;

“It’s time to answer the call of God Almighty. It’s time to do His work fully. To spread the true message of God. Tune in, and be transformed”

As anticipated, the announcement ignited reactions from fans who flocked to his page to express their thoughts.

Recall in 2022, Yul, via his YouTube page, revealed he had a calling to become a minister of God“many years ago” but felt it was not the right time.

Edochie said the calling has become strong in recent times. The actor added that he has realized that God made him successful so he can use the fame to promote the gospel and touch lives.

The movie star also said he believes God gave him a second chance to live and preach the gospel after he “miraculously” escaped death in a “ghastly auto crash” in 2019.

Pouring Praises On Reno Omokri

Yul Edochie declared love for the former presidential aide to Good Luck Jonathan, Reno Omokri.

Taking to his Instagram page to celebrate his 50th birthday, he expressed how much he respected him.

Yul stated that his respect for him goes beyond politics and party lines. He went on to compliment Reno by describing him as a man of great wisdom, one who loves Nigeria, one whom Nigerians need to listen to, and much more.

Wishing him more beautiful years ahead, he wrote,

“Happy 50th birthday to the great @renoomokri. A man I have a lot of respect for. My respect for him goes beyond politics and party lines. A man of great wisdom. A man who loves Nigeria with all his heart. A man whom Nigerians need to listen to, to tap from his extensive wealth of knowledge. My man. I wish you many more beautiful years. May God lead you always,” he wrote.

Reno Omokri isn’t the only public figure, Yul Edochie has respect for.

Some months back, Yul Edochie had hailed his colleague, Jerry Amilo as they linked up after many years.

The movie star, shared a video of him and the actor while expressing joy at working with him on set of a new project.

Yul stated that he has so much respect for Jerry as they made so many hit movies together.

Yul had also spoken out about his life-changing experience with Charles Inojie, revealing the level of impact he had played in his movie career.

In celebration of his birthday, Yul disclosed that the majority don’t know he attended the same University, University of Port Harcourt, Theater Arts Department with Charles Inojie.

Yul praised him for always being so cool and nice to everyone and credited him for playing a role in his career path.

To add to it, Edochie had expressed fondness for, Peter Obi, despite his love for President Tinubu.

The father of five stated that he still has respect for Peter Obi and will never insult him, as he believes Peter is a great Nigerian and his time will come if God allows it. However, it is Jagaban’s time and the next 8 years are dedicated to him.
