As most Ghanaians rallied support behind the Ghanaian journalist cum entrepreneur, the music producer stated that Afua Asantewaa will not be able to achieve her goal of singing non-stop for three days.

“Even professional singers won’t attempt a feat like this without a voice coach around to be coaching what to do. No strategy. Just play, I will sing. I feel for Afua paa. Herrhh! Find some heavy to eat. Singing is for the strong. Don’t let them deceive you. Now you see you can’t even hit the key? So off-key. All because you’re tired. Smh. Where are our “famed” voice coaches? The girl is damn tired and she’s losing her voice. Won’t somebody show her how to revamp it? With the way she’s singing? Smh”.

“Guys, guys, guys, I’m so, so sorry. I just realized I was judging Afua Asantewaa so hard. Please forgive me. I didn’t know the rules. But I said some of the things out of concern for her. Please, don’t get me wrong. I’m behind her just like every Ghanaian,” he wrote on his Twitter page.

On December 26, 2023, Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Dumelo graced the event with his presence to show his support for Afua Asantewaa.

A video captured John Dumelo dancing to the tune of “Hustle”, a song by the late female singer, Ebony.

In the video, the actor displayed impressive dance moves and singing to the song.

Other renowned personalities who were present on Day 3 of the challenge included Sarkodie, Asamoah Gyan, Berla Mundi, Fada Dickson, and the former French Ambassador to Ghana, Anne Sophie Ave.

The evening of Day 3 of the sing-a-thon challenge was packed with supporters who graced their presence at the Akwaaba Park to motivate the sing-a-thon breaker, Afua Asantewaa Aduonum.

Afua Asantewaa is embarking on a mission to break the Guinness Record of the longest singing marathon and so far, Ghanaians have displayed immersed support to the Ghanaian lady.

The earlier days saw showbiz personalities such as Nana Ama McBrown, Fella Makafui, Kwami Eugene, Cina Soul, and Akuapem Poloo, among others who stormed the sing-a-thon grounds to rally their support behind her.

The Shatta Movement boss, Shatta Wale, was also captured holding hands and praying with Afua Asantewaa in her inner space, where her performance takes place.

Shatta Wale, who trooped in her during her break period, bent before her, issued some words of encouragement, kissed and hugged her. This was captured in excerpts of videos from the event that have since gone viral.

Netizens who have come across the development have commended Shatta for showing immense care and support to the contestant. Others have also alleged that it is only an attention-seeking stunt.

On Monday, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stormed the venue to offer words of encouragement to Afua Asantewaa, urging her to make history for Ghana.

Afua Asantewaa has currently surpassed the halfway mark of her attempt to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the longest singing marathon by an individual.

She entered into the fourth day of the sing-a-thon and has so far done about 79 hours, which is more than half short of Sunil Waghmar’s 105-hour record.
