The fatal collision was caused by a head-on collision between a fuel truck with the license plate WR 2063-10 and a Youtong bus with the plate GT 5866-L. The Forty patients were treated at the Trauma and Specialist Centre in Winneba for injuries of varying severity.

The Effutu politician praised the courage and altruism displayed by the Ghana National Fire Service, the Ambulance Service, and the people that assisted in the rescue operations. He also demanded investigations to lessen the frequency and severity of these fatal crashes on the roadways. “Your unwavering dedication and selflessness in the face of adversity reflect the finest qualities of service and bravery,” he remarked.

“In light of this tragic event, it is imperative that we come together as a nation and prioritize the safety of our roads. I implore the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, allowing us to identify and enforce measures that will prevent similar incidents in the future. Let us remain steadfast in our commitment to upholding road safety, implementing necessary precautions, and fostering a culture of responsible driving.”
