Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the spokesperson for the NDC flagbearer, has highlighted John Dramani Mahama’s consistent vision of establishing a 24-hour economy for Ghana.
She explained that this initiative would be strategically implemented under strict supervision by the Office of the President to create steady, demand-driven opportunities for sustainable employment.
Bawah emphasized that the plan seeks to tackle Ghana’s high unemployment rate, which poses a significant threat to national stability.
Job creation, she noted, would not only alleviate poverty but also reduce associated suffering, anxiety, and stress, ultimately fostering shared prosperity for all.
“Furthermore, a key focus of his #Change agenda is improving access to affordable financing for women-owned enterprises and female entrepreneurs through the establishment of the Women’s Development Bank.
“This initiative will empower women economically and enhance their contributions to national development. Additionally, he targets the creation of one million jobs across various sectors of the economy”.

Mogtari further emphasized that these initiatives aim to boost productivity and economic growth by broadening the domestic tax base while easing the tax burden on citizens.
She noted that key measures Mahama intends to implement include the abolition of nuisance taxes, such as the E-Levy, Betting Tax, and COVID-19 Levy, to alleviate financial pressures on Ghanaians.
The NDC stalwart also highlighted Mahama’s commitment to reducing Ghana’s dependence on food imports.
Mogtari noted that as the son of a renowned farmer and an active farmer himself, Mahama has pledged to strengthen the country’s agricultural sector.
According to her, Mahama is urging citizens to embrace large-scale farming to achieve food self-sufficiency, promote value addition for export, reduce food import expenditures, lower inflation, and enhance rural economic development. “To support this, he has proposed the establishment of enhanced Agricultural Centers in all 16 regions of Ghana”.
According to Mogtari, these centers will play a pivotal role in advancing agricultural development, offering farmers access to credit, essential resources, and modern farming technologies.
She indicated that by doing so, they aim to significantly enhance productivity, improve yields, and promote sustainable agricultural practices nationwide.
Mahama to Stabilize the Cedi, Boost Infrastructure
Furthermore, Joyce Bawah Mogtari emphasized that all of Mahama’s initiatives are aimed at easing pressure on the Ghanaian cedi and achieving sustainable exchange rate stability through real economic solutions.
She added that in other critical sectors, Mahama intends to roll out a comprehensive training and job creation program, including coding initiatives set to benefit at least one million young people.
This, the NDC communicator stated, demonstrates the vision of the leader who established the Accra Digital Center, underscoring his commitment to equipping the next generation with essential skills for thriving in the digital economy.
“As we know, Mahama has always been at the forefront of addressing Ghana’s infrastructure deficit. He will continue this legacy through the Big Push Initiative, which prioritizes completing abandoned infrastructure projects, including roads, dams, bridges, hospitals and other facilities neglected by the current government.
“In addition to these, an improved governance system will underpin his administration’s objectives. This includes a strong commitment to fighting corruption through the radical implementation of Operation Recover All Looted Properties (ORAL) and resources”.

The NDC communicator further stressed that fiscal discipline will be a cornerstone of John Mahama’s administration, with strict measures to combat corruption, eliminate reckless spending, and halt the irresponsible borrowing spree of the current government.
She highlighted Mahama’s vision for Ghana as one of transformational growth and inclusivity.
Bawah further stated that by tackling unemployment, empowering women, boosting agricultural productivity, and closing the infrastructure gap, Mahama’s leadership aims to build a prosperous and self-reliant nation. “Significantly, his policies will restore hope, rebuild trust and create opportunities for every Ghanaian”.
She emphasized that this is a clarion call to all Ghanaians, regardless of their background or political affiliation, to unite in collective action to reset the nation’s trajectory and secure a brighter future for generations to come.
Bawah passionately urged Ghanaians to make a thoughtful and informed choice at the polls, highlighting the importance of voting wisely by casting their votes for John Mahama.
