Mrs. Samira Bawumia

Mrs. Samira Bawumia - Second Lady of the Republic of Ghana.

Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, has asked Ghanaians not to pay attention to John Dramani Mahama’s promise to create one million jobs when he wins the presidential race in the December 7 polls.

According to the wife of Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Mahama’s incompetence won’t allow for the creation of those jobs. She indicated that, Ghanaians gave the NDC eight years in office but the opposition party did not cause any improvements whatsoever in the country.

The second Lady called the big push agenda as stated in the NDC’s Manifesto and as a “bunch of fake promises” which the NDC wants to use to deceive Ghanaians in to voting for them. She made these remarks as she continued her Ashanti Regional campaign tour to canvas for votes for the ruling NPP.

“Let us not be deceived. My question to him is if he knew how to create one million jobs, why didn’t he do it when he was in power? If the NDC is capable, why didn’t they do it in the eight years they were in power?” Mrs. Bawumia asked while addressing the chiefs and people of Nsuta, Kwamang, Beposo constituency in the Ashanti region.

Mrs. Samira Bawumia went on to say that, the NPP is committed to bringing numerous employment avenues into the country to help reduce the unemployment rate. She said this, the NPP has already started in its four years in office. Citing NABCO and planting for food and jobs, the Second Lady said that was proof of the Nana Addo led administration’s total commitment to ensuring enough employment avenues are provided.

The Second Lady beckoned the Chiefs and people of Nsuta, Kwamang and Beposo Township to vote massively for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP, as that is the sure way of bring development to them and the people of Ghana at large.

On the other hand, former President Mahama was also in the Ashanti Region some days back, where he also incited the people of the Ashanti Region to vote for him and the NDC. He noted that, he has done more work in the Ashanti Region than what President Akufo Addo has done.

The former President indicated that, the Nana Addo led administration and the NPP has taken the people of the Ashanti Region for granted, since they believe the people of the Ashanti Region will vote NPP come what may. This situation he described as unfortunate because he believes the Ashanti Region deserves more, and as such, should vote for the NDC in order to see the good plans he and the NDC have for the people of the Ashanti Region.

“My record is visible all through the Ashanti Region. Vote for me and the NDC to see more of these developmental projects.”

The former President said.
