Your appointment is divinely ordained, Nomo to Ofori-Atta

The Chief Director at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Patrick Nomo, has described the appointment of Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta, as divinely ordained by God.  He stated this when the Management of the Ministry of Finance welcomed the Minister to the premises of the Ministry. Ken Ofori-Atta received a warm welcome to officially begin his second tenure as the Finance Minister.

Welcoming the Minister, the Chief Director noted that, the Ministry was grateful to God for his divine mercies on the life of the Minister. He indicated that this is especially so, during his post-COVID-19 complications and review in the USA.

“I believe your appointment is divinely ordained by God”.

Also, he stated that it was heart-warming to know that, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta will be in charge of the economic management of the country once again. Mr. Patrick Nomo assured the Minister of the Ministry’s support in his second term as it had always been.

Meanwhile, Ken Ofori-Atta stated that the team’s spirit from 2017 to now had been truly amazing. The minister was visibly elated and could not hide his joy at the wonderful reception accorded him upon his return.

Moreover, Ken Ofori-Atta stated that Ghanaians have high expectations for a quick economic turnaround. As such he called for the need for a change in attitude and operations in the ministry. This, according to him, will help drive more efficiency from staff to revitalize and grow the economy.

Furthermore, Ken Ofori-Atta used the opportunity to thank God for the healing mercies. He also expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic for the confidence reposed in him, and Parliament for the approval.

“The confidence in me is really reflective of the confidence in the Ministry. I think we should share that and move on strongly”.

Likewise, Ms. Eva Mends, a Coordinating Director at the Ministry expressed her gratitude to God for Ministers’ appointment.

“Welcome back.  We miss your philosophical inputs and your deep sense of commitment to give off our very best for God and country”.

Meanwhile, the re-appointment of Ken Ofori-Atta is historic as no other finance minister has done so in the 4th Republic.
