We’ve Done a lot of Projects in Bono Region- Kwame Baffoe

Bono Region NPP Chairman, Kwame Baffoe

The Bono Regional NPP Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has intimated that the current government has undertaken projects in the region as a against claims that it has not.

Responding to claims that the region has lots of NPP stalwarts but have ignored projects, he stated that it was untrue.

“I think that with this statement there was no need for me to respond to him. But to set the record straight,;he is saying that there is no tangible project because we have not printed any green book so,;there is no project. I want to say we have done a lot of projects”.

Kwame Baffoe

His statement comes on the back of allegations by the Bono Deputy Communications Director of NDC, Eric Adjei, that there are no tangible projects in the three Bono Regions [Bono, Ahafo and Bono East].

The NDC Deputy Director of Communications for the Bono Region, recently alleged that a tall list of stalwarts of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are natives of Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East regions but are not seeking the interest of the regions.

Mr. Baffoe averred that the regional coordinating council building in the region is 95% complete and indicated that it will be commissioned at the end of the year.

“The National Health Insurance Scheme Building is almost complete and I know that building will be commissioned [in] September 2022”.

Mr. Baffoe posited that under the leadership of Nana Akufo-Addo,;the Sunyani Airport which stopped functioning, is currently undergoing some renovation to see its operationalization once again.

“About a month ago, the transport minister went to do some inspection and he gave a promise that possibly march next year, Sunyani airport will start operating”.

Touching on the delays regarding the reopening of the Suyani Airport, Mr. Baffoe averred that government had to gather the funds for the allocated budget for the project.

“I was there when they handed over everything to the contractor and work is ongoing. I believe that next year, the Sunyani Airport will be opened”.
