Veteran Nollywood actor, Clem Ohameze has undergone a successful spinal cord surgery and is currently recovering.
This comes just few weeks after the Nollywood actor came out to beg Nigerians to pray for him as he was in a critical condition and was set to undergo surgery.
The Nollywood actor was involved in a severe car accident which affected his lower limb and resulted to difficulties in mobility.
When he was taken to the hospital to seek medical care from medical practitioners after the accident, he was advised to undergo a procedural surgery to release his spinal cord so as to regain movement. The surgery process involved the separation of Ohameze’s Cervical Vertebrate 3 from the cervical vertebrate 4.
The video which shows the preoperative and postoperative phase of his surgery surfaced online and he could be seen laid-back on a bed. Clem in the viral video expressed his heart felt appreciation to Nigerians for coming to his aid when he demanded it and needed it the most.
Now, with the successful surgery, it proposes that Clem will be able to regain his walking abilities and probably, he will continue with his acting career as he might be called to take some roles in the Nollywood industry.
It can be recalled that Clem Ohameze made headlines on several media sites last year after he appeared in a video asking Nigerians to pray for him. The talented Nollywood actor who has contributed to the success of the Nigerian movie industry did not only seek prayers from his fans and other well-wishers but also went to Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin to seek for special prayers.
The Founder and Senior Prophet of Christ MercyLand Deliverance Ministries, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin after praying for Clem, also gave him financial assistance to the sum of Eight Million Naira. Clem after the Prophet’s benevolence was seen shedding tears of joy during the event.
After being motivated and prayed for, the Movie star promised to come back to give praises to God and dance with the pastor after undergoing successful surgery. Well, it seems this promise will soon be fulfilled based on the current development.
Clem Expressed Fear Over Surgery
Prior to the surgery, the veteran actor was confined in a wheelchair. He explained how the surgery procedure was going to take place. He then admitted that he was scared about the surgery but has to do it anyway.
“After they showed me the procedure and how it’s being done, I was scared. I was told that they are going to cut open the neck and physically separate the cervical vertebrae three from four and then use an iron plate to plate it with some screws so it can remain permanent. It was scary but I have no choice”.

Some Nigerians who were touched by Clem Ohameze’s story cheered him and prayed for him. Some while quoting the Bible, encouraged him to be courageous since they believed he will come out of the surgery successful.
Meanwhile, others questioned what the Actors Guild was doing to help Clem’s situation. They berated the Guild will only come out to write a long statement if things doesn’t turn out right.
